I am Timmy, also know as Timothy. In short, people call me Tim.
Timothy, the name is derived from "Saint Timothy" in Greece is Timótheos meaning "honoring god". Saint Timothy was the first-century Christian bishop who died about 80 AD.

My name is of course my username - James and it means "Servant of God". I have a friend from Belgium called Timótheos funnily enough! I just call him Tim though and I don't think that anyone uses his full name anymore. It seems that both the meaning of your name and my own are somewhat similar!
