As much as I like to see snow, I don’t like to shovel. I like ice skating during the winter but only if it isn’t too cold. I like skiing in May... In general winter is not my favorite season. I want to move away for the winter or just hibernate. What do you like about winter?

We do not get ice in our city, therefore, we can only enjoy ice skating on TV or net etc. I belive, it looks quite interesting. In Delhi winters, what I like is warmth of the sun in the afternoon,it is great fun relaxing in the afternoon winter sun, it feels so cozy that you feel like sleeping every time you lay leisurely in the sun.

Not much. That's one reason why I live in Thailand. The only thing I miss is my Aussie football, but most of that I can seee on television, or by downloading it. I certainly don'y miss sitting in the cold watching.

Speaking of vacations, I'm supposed to fly out on Monday 15, but with the airport protests, I'm not sure when we will be able to go. If Thailand has a downside, it's the lack of political stability and corruption.

What do I like about winter? Nothing. I know that's not a very positive answer but I dread winter. I don't get around well and I hate the snow and ice.

I love the snow. I love to have a white christmas. My only complaint is that i don't like to be cold and i hate it when the roads ice over. Especially where i live when everyone freaks out when there is the least bit of a mention of snow. The schools close and people stock pile food. Here if the word snow is mention in the morning that night stores are wiped out of bread, milk, and some other things i can't remember at the moment. Plus they don't have the right equipment to clear icy roads. But nonetheless....i love snow.

When i was younger, i spent most of my christmas in the north because thats were most of my family is and i usually had to spend christmas with my father. The only part i looked forward to was the snow and actually getting a white christmas.

I guess I do like to see the snow covering everything. ANd although I only learned how to ice skate recently I like that too. I don't even mind shoveling as long as it's not snow higher than me LOL What really gets me is the cold. I don't like cold. I don't like to have to bundle up it's way too restricting. I like to move freely. I don't like having to be inside with everything closed because the heating is on. I prefer to have open windows. Yep winter is pretty I guess, but not my favorite season:)

Yes, it is hard to deal with cold. In Chicago we have extreme cold conditions, similar to Canadian. Freezing cold and wind makes me willing to stay home all the time.

Hi Pola, we don't have snow and ice here. I guess you would call our winter, summer! You would find it too hot. But I love the general "coolness" of the atmosphere, curling up at night beneath two blankets, warm and snug. And we have some lovely roses in winter too. So, I do love the winter, like I love all seasons. :) Cheers and happy mylotting

Hi, I like Moderate winters. By Moderate Winters ; I mean Late November -Early December and Mid and Late February season in my city -New Delhi . The Nights are cold - nearly 10 Degrees or even lesser Temperatures at time . However;it is sunny in the day and one can leisure around in Sun and can even have a good sleep . We do have some good sunny days even in late December and January .Yet ; some days we have too much fog and very cold days also .Sometimes; it is cloudy all through the day . We have similar season in other North Indian cities as well .

It doesn't snow as much here as it does where you live. I can get sick of snow too, so I imagine if I had it as much as you do, then I'd really be sick of it! I like the winter because of the cooler weather. Hot weather, especially the humid heat of Oklahoma, makes life harder for me, health wise. I don't like to freeze or anything, but I function better in the cold (even if it does irritate my arthritis).

I like a couple things about winter, but I like summer a lot more. I like to watch the snow fall,(from my window)lol I like to sit by the fire with a cup of hot chocolate, I like to snuggle on cold nights. I think snow is really pretty to look at, but I really don't like driving in it. I also don't like to freeze. By January, I'm ready for summer. Looks like we are getting more snow tomorrow, about 3 inches.

I actually really like the winter! Its soooo cosy.... We don't really get much snow here in the UK and so when it snows it is a real treat. The roads and gardens look beautiful as they all become the cleanest and brightest white. Often it is a short-lived experience as it doesn't stay cold enough for long enough and the snow melts within a day or two:-(

(Sigh) I'm from the East Coast and I moved to California a year ago. ... I hate it here. I miss the seasons, and especially winter. I miss the snow. The way you have to huddle under a blanket for warmth. The hot cocoa with marshmallows. The way a hot meal meant all that much more because it helped keep the cold out of your belly. I miss the smell of it, though, most of all. Winter has a certain aroma, like electricity and water and smoke all wrapped up in an invisible blanket that covers the world for a few months. It's hard for me to get into a holiday mood when I'm wearing a tank top and tending to my still blooming roses. Most people think I'm crazy for hating the weather out here, but to me it's boring and bland. Give me harsh winter cold and warm springtime breezes anyday.

I think you get good point here. I may miss snow, but I have enough of cold. Maybe mild weather is the best choice...
