Everytime we create partition and format it, we will be ask if we would like to format it using Quick format or Normal format. What is the difference? Is Quick format reliable and our files/data is safe? Happy Mylotting!

Well if you ask me, I have heard that with format is the better option rather than the full format. I was told that the full format is harmful to the hard disk. And if it is done frequently than it may create bad sectors on to the hard disk. Now I format my computer very often when I feel that it is running slow. So I rely on quick format has always. I have never used normal formatting except for the first time when I did and FDISK on the hard disk when I brought it from the store. Moreover we don't need to format the computer every time. If you just want a case everything a new partition with format is the best option as it has done very quickly and saves a lot of time.

I do know what the difference between quick format and Normal format would be, but it is supposed that quick format at times does not arrange the allocation units in the hard drive. Not arranging or defragmenting the hard drive results in slower reading of the data in it.

There is much difference between quick format and normal format no dout quick format is much faster than normal format but acctually it only just deletes the data on the drive that means only file alocations are removed but in normal format every thing including the data on the drive also gets deleted i prefer quick format when i am i a hurry else normal fromat when my pc is attacked with a virus
