we people stay in hong kong have no place to plant fruits; I only plant flowers..

Why is this? Is it a tradition in Hong Kong not to grow your own fruit or is it a personal choice? Emma :)

This discussion brought back some of my memories when i was a kid... we have agricultural land in our ancestors place... i used to go there in my summer vacations... there i used to play in the fields and the river used to flow nearby so we bros and sisters used to have bath together...i learnt swimming by splashing water in the rivers and ponds there.. the agricultural lands were generally used for rice and wheat cultivation.. some part was used for growing mustard and vegetables... i used to go in the morning with a small basket ..to pluck my favorite vegetables to eat.. we also had some fruit trees like...mango,pineapple,dated,papaya,banana and jackfruit...it was fun :-)
