my hubby and I had our date morning! He didn't have to be at work until 11 am. So we ran some errands together, and then went and had a coffee together. It is our last one together alone for a while. The baby will be here in one week. We put our daughter on the school bus and got to going. The next "date" we have will at least have newborn in tow. I have been told this isn't a date. It's just coffee. What do you think? I think any time spent together outside of normal routine should count. It does for me

Well, congratulations on the date. As I said in another thread a moment ago, a date is any time you and your husband get to spent together to reaffirm your affection for each other. Have a good day.

what a good attitude!!!!!!after the baby comes, you wont have time for even coffee.a date doesnt mean its has to be always out of home.i think it means, you get to spend some time together.

I agree with you that the important thing is changing your routine and getting a little interesting alone time. Running errands wouldn't do it for me, but if it does it for you fine. You're right it will be different to have a baby in tow. I think too many people make a big deal of their date nights. You act like you have to go to a big production and spend a lot of money. That's not the point.

Hi There... Awwww.... It is really sweet to have coffee together... Well, for me, I consider that a date if we spend time together. My boyfriend and I used to do that, I mean, after busy week at work, we just eat in some fast food or more likely in a restaurant then just talk. Nothing fancy... important thing was we were able to spent our time together and I miss him. :)

I think it can be a date. Why NOT?.. In my opinion if you spend any kind of quality time together it can be considered a date. It doesn't matter where you spend it or how you spend it. As long as both of you is together and enjoying eachother's company. I haven't had a date in ages. If I had any date at all it was with myself.

I think it qualifies as a date. Not the typical date, but a date none the less. I think it is nice that you still take time to go out and have alone "date" time. I know a lot of married couples don't take the time to do it.

I'm not sure it qualifies as a proper 'date' but good on you for making the time for each other! Sounds like you had a nice morning...and i suppose that some people would count 'just coffee' as a date, so it depends on how you see it really! Hope the next 'date' is not too far off!
