If you already dropped the charges, you shoudl not have a court date. You need to make sure that the charges have been fully dropped. If you do go to court, don't lie. You will be thrown in jail for purgery. If he did really hit you (not an accident) then you shoudl leave you boyfriend. The violence will only get worse.

A lot of the domestic violence laws are set up where if the Police see physical evidence of assault (fat lip, bruises, or blood) they can arrest the perpetrator and charge him/her with domestic violence.
