I was wondering if anyone has a certain phrase or adage they like or actually like to live by. I have always liked "silence is golden". It is so true. It is a good way to stay out of trouble by abiding by that rule.

My favorite: A word to the wise is sufficient. I have learned sooo many life lessons through the school of hard knocks that a few years ago I determined that listening to people I trust and believe in would be much better. So when I get a sound piece of advice or a gentle word of warning from a trusted source I adjust my course accordingly.

My favorite is "silence is golden" too! But I like it as quietude and even solitude.. Though I must say, it can keep us out of lots of trouble too!!

My favorite adage is "manners cost nothing" also a close second is "It takes a real person to walk away from trouble" Another thing I said to mine was"if you bring the police to our door, you will find out what real trouble is".Sience is golden I have used as well.
