A first for me since I became a member a year ago.

This is a first for me. Today someone requested my friendship and after going through my regular routine of going through their profile page, I accepted. I just received a private message and it was from the person who requested my friendship. He sent me a personally message to thank me for accepting his friendship. I have never had this happen to me before and I have to admit it felt good to be acknowleged this way. It made me feel really good that someone here cares enough to thank me. I think this site is absolutely wonderful because of the people here. There are some really nice members here and I will probably never leave this site. So have you received, or sent, a private message thanking you for adding them as a friend? This is the first for me. But now that I have recieved one I think I will do the same thing and thank a person for requesting me or thank them for adding me when I request them. Neat thing to do, I think. Alrighty then, talk to you later my friend, Have a good mylotting day, Chris

Hi chris, I’m the lazy type of person so I never send any message to thank any friends here for accepting me as his friend. You are right. There are so many good mylot users here. I really appreciate those who are very courteous ones and they usually will respond one of my discussions before requesting me as their friends. In return, of course I will try my best to reply one of their discussions as well. If someone accepted my friend request, I usually would express my gratitude by answering one of his discussions if there is any which I’m really interested instead of sending a private message to say thank you. For me I would feel much happier to receive a response than a private message. I would send a private message to friends only if I need to answer their personal questions when receiving their pm, or if I really have some personal information to share with them. posting and have a nice day.

I don't accept a person's friendship unless I can respond to their discussions. If I can't respond to a few of them then, for me, that means we don't have enough in common so why add them as a friend if I can't help them out by responding and helping them to earn more money.

Everyone has his own criteria to choose a mylot friend as long he feels happy and satisfy to do so. I don’t spend time to read the profile of the person who requests me as friend and usually I would approve him request straight away. What I like to do is I just like to set the notification button of friends with common interest and like to have mutual communication on. So I could respond to their new discussions and comments easily and more conveniently. Nowadays I could know clearly by checking my mail box every now and then to respond and to leave comment on any of my and my friends' discussions easily. I don’t have to waste any extra time to search by going through the started page and responded page anymore.

No I have never sent a thank you note asking for someone to add me as a friend. But I think I will start. That is a great way to show gratitude and appreciation to your fellow My Lotter. We should all try doing this! :-)

Hi chris, Honestly, I haven't tried doing that but I received a messages thanking me also or some of my friends are even dropping nice messages in my profile.... I agree that we have a lot of good people around here, sad to know that some of my good friends are inactive this time! hmmm...wish they'll come back soon and that they are all safe!

I've been here almost 2 years and have gotten probably a handful of these. Although it is nice to receive them I don't feel it is necessary for members to send them out. I myself don't bother sending any out. And with PM's not working the majority of the time it could be more of a hassle than it is worth to send thank you's out to those that accepted my friendship.

Well that is great. I think that a little personal personality is a good thing. I always try to be considerate in my dealings here on MyLots...not sure if it works though. Great news...
