Do You Decorate Every Room in the House for the Holidays?

Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year. I love to decorate and add a little cheer in every room of the house. This includes the bathroom. Adding a holiday decoration here there and everywhere makes our home so much more cheerful. Do you decorate every room?

This will be our 3rd year of not decorating. 3 years ago I won a trip to Jamaica and the only time that worked for me to take it was in mid-December. We were going to be gone about a week, and no one comes to our house for the holidays anyway - all the kids are grown and do their own thing or live far away. So, we didn't bother with any decorations - well, we mighta put the stockings out but we weren't doing the tree or the outside lights. Well, last year we really liked not having to hassle with it - putting up and taking down - so we just said "eh, not this year either. Now, we did put a nativity up in our bay window and the stocking this year, but that's it. I do kinda miss the tree, but not the hassle. Maybe next year we'll do a tree again, we'll see. When we did decorate, we only did the living room and outside lights on the roof. I'm actually a bit of a bah-humbug though because I have to share my birthday...

My hubby wants to start earlier every year. This year I managed to get him to hold off until after Thanksgiving.

My snowman tree! - My snowman decorated Christmas tree
Yes...every room downstairs....maybe just a little too much but I love it. I have a huge collection of snowmen. I put up most of them but have two whole storage bins full yet. I put just a few in the kitchen this year.....normally I do over the cupboards and everything....I only have a couple in the bathroom too..but the living room and dining room....are over crowded! LOL

I don't believe that you can over decorate for Christmas. The more the merrier. My Sister loves snowmen too! Her birthday is December 2nd and she requested that nobody buys her gifts related to Christmas or use Christmas paper to wrap her gift in!

Hello friend. We do not decorate every room in the house for the holidays, but we do give our house a thorough cleaning before the holidays, especially our major holiday--Spring Festival. Take care, friend.

I guess I am not that ambitious I don't decorate every room. I just decorate the living room. My 12 year old son has his own decorations for his room incluidng his own tree it is just a little table top tree but it is decorated and has a star on top he likes having his room decorated too my 5 year old hasn't asked to have hers decorated yet.

My kids also had a small tree in their bedrooms. They also decorated their windows.

Just as long as you don't put the holly wreath on the toilet my friend! Now that would bring tears to the eyes on this festive occasion LOL! We only decorate one room in our house and that's the best room, the front room which mum keeps nice, we put up the tree in there, put up the cards and tinsel around the room to make it look Christmassy, but that is the only room we decorate, there is only three of us, all adults.

I used to when the kids were home, but now, I just decorate in the living room and dining room. Our house now, is very small, so there is little room to do much. I do love decorating it though and have thought of buying a few things (perhaps next year)to go in the bathroom and bedroom. Would love to see a picture of your house; it sounds so warm and inviting.

No, I do not decorate every room for the holidays. But if I had enough decorations I would surely try and do it. I love Christmas and I love to decorate for it.

LOL...I don't normally but today I put a lovely reindeer in the bathroom. I put my wreath up the other day. Usually, I just do the living room.

No I don't like the decs everywhere. Downstairs we have the tree in the sitting room area of our long room. The other part of the long room is the playroom so we hang decs in there, down the hallway and in the dining room. The children can do there bedrooms if they so wish.

Well honestly we don't really decorate but we put out candy (or sweets) in trays or plates if you will.. that we only use for special occasions. We drape some lights on our balcony window (indoor balcony). Other than that no we don't.

I do not decorate every room. I've always decorated the living room and, the kitchen only cause they were the community rooms. After my son was born I now set up a little fiber optic tree in his room with string lights on his walls. He's autistic so he just loves all the lights and the tree changing colors. It definently brings some cheer.

I used to do it. We have so many dust collector decorations that just sit on shelves or counter tops and we just don't have enough space. Plus one year I missed putting all of them away. Found a little snowman sitting here and there six months later. So the last couple of years I just put out the essentials - Christmas tree, wreath on the door, table cloth, manger. I'm not much of a house keeper so adding more stuff just annoys me. I think I've become a real Christmas scrooge.

i am very much like you. i decorate pretty much every space in the house with at least something smallish that is christmasy (even a few candle holders) but for the bathroom, i have christmas towels that make even the bathroom look a little christmasy. i am pretty partial to candle holders though.

the only room that we decide to decorate is the living room as we dont see the point in doing every room, speaking of which we havent event put up the chirstmas tree yet.
