My Website- What now?

I have had a website for about 3 months now and recently I actually started posting blogs on it daily. I have google adsense which is alittle helpful because I make a few dollars a day with that, but that is only if people go to my website and click on the ads on my page. So my question is how do I get more traffic to my site and have my page be brought up in ranking? I guess I am completely confsed with all of it. I have tried everything, and I also would like to know how I can design my webage to be more attractive. Things like the header and back ground? I need help if anyone can give me a few pointers. I don't know much about getting your website ranked higher but I did take a look at your website and it seems to be a really nice one. Just keep trying and don't give up and you will make it.
