What was the First Thought that Popped into your Mind This Morning?

United States

"Someone HELP! Me! OUCH!"That's the very first thought that entered my mind this morning. I had a horrible, ragging headache since lastnight and I just couldn't shake it off until I took 5 aspirins and 3 tylenols this morning. My first thought in the morning usually be "Thank you God for this day" but this morning that was my second thought. Do you usually have the same "first thought every morning" or something different? What was your "first thought" today?

My first thought this morning was oh crap, my back is killing me. Not the best thought to pop in my mind, but I was surprised that after days of no back pain, suddenly this morning it was back in full force. I wonder if I can train my brain to have a positive thought first thing in the morning. I'm sorry to hear about your headache. They are one of the worst things to have. Worse than a cold, worse than a lot of things.

Hey AmbiePam. I never had any back problems but I heard they feel like crap. My father-n-law gets a disability check for his back. I really hope you feel better soon or faster.

Usually I wake up with a piece of music in my mind that the choir is practicing, and today was no different, except I also woke up with a lot of body aches, and a headache wanting coffee and pretty hungry. I worked a pretty long day yesterday, (14 hours) then stayed up for hubby to get home. I drank less coffee and tea yesterday than I usually do, and I usually try for a small protein snack right before bed. I am going to run a scan on my computer this a.m, and get another cup of coffee. When I move around the aches and pains in my body will loosen up. I still have music in my head, and will have a long practice this afternoon.

A choir song is a good thing to wake up to. Hurry up and move around and make that pain go away. I'm tired of pain but I won't let it ever ruin my day. Hope you feel better.

cast - it extends above my elbow, which is bent at 90 degree angle
first thought that came to mind this morning......did he make coffee. it was a rough night here too, due to my cast. it was fitting tight, swelling in wrist and forearm. i finally went to bed around 4am, but didn't get much sleep then, so when i did get out of bed, my s/o had been up for 30 minutes or longer......and, no, he hadn't, i had to start the coffee.......didn't add to my 'sunny' disposition this morning.

The first thought that popped into my mind is what happen to one of my neighbors last night. I heard crying in the night, then I looked out the window and people were comforting the lady next door and they put her in a car and left. That is a lot of pills that you have taken, be careful, don't overdose. I hope you feel better.

Thanks for your concern. Yes I did go a little over board with the pills, but I think it's trying to stop now. I'll be careful next time Chevee.

When I awoke this morning, my first thought was on Tiger. She's a stray cat that I feed everyday, and almost every morning (except Sundays when I have to leave early for church) I'll go see her downstairs my apartment after washing my face and brushing my teeth. She's like a pet to me. But then I realized that today is different. It's a Saturday, and that is my marketing day. I buy my fresh meats, seafood and vegetables for the week from a nearby market. So off I went to the market instead. Well, I made it a point to see Tiger after my marketing, and she was as usual waiting eagerly for me to show up.

My Tiger - Stray cat around my apartment block who is like a pet to me.
Yes she does, and I love her too. She can be jealous sometimes, if I play with or feed other cats and ignore her. Here's a recent picture of her, taken two weeks ago.

First thought that came into my head this morning was "Who on earth is knocking on the door at this time of the morning" It was my 15 year old son who had taken the notion to go for a walk to our local Tesco about 7.30 this morning.

THIS morning? Well, I have to say it was different than normal. I've been on antibiotics due to a really bad upper respiratory tract infection with 2 more days to go on them. Since I got older, I tend to get a yeast infection every time I take antibiotics. Man! Sometimes, being female sucks!!! Anyway, my first thought of the day today was, "Oh, man! This hurts!!!" So, we kinda said the same thing but for reasons from different body parts. LOL I went to the store yesterday to buy that stuff, you know, Monistat, because I had called my doctor's office and had to leave a message, begging them for that pill that does the same thing those creams do only without the mess! You know when they returned my call? When I was on my way home from the store! I had just turned onto our private road when my doctor's office called to say that they were calling the prescription in right now. Man! Well, I wasn't going back. It was too cold and I, well, I'm sure you know what the symptoms are! I'm going today to pick up that Rx to keep as a "just in case" thing. It's SO much nicer than those yucky creams!!! I just realized that I've gotten EXTREMELY personal here! But, well, I consider you one of my best buds here and, being a female, I'm sure you can relate.

Thanks so much, miracle! You truly are one of the best! It's feeling a tad better at the moment. I'll be all better soon... just one of those things we go through, huh? My husband and I have put off buying our Christmas tree until tomorrow, though. We were going to go today but it hurts to walk around so... I hope your headache is better, too! I've had those monster headaches myself and know that they are NO fun! You take care of yourself, okay?

Girl you know you can tell me anything under the sun. You never have to hold back with me, I'm miraclefreebies, the buddy who loves and cares about you. Yeast infections sure isn't our friend and I hate to have'em at anytime. I hate this is happening to you, but I know you're a strong woman like me, and that means you can get through the worst. Hurry up and get better, you don't deserve all of this. You're too good of a person, and a fighter.

Please be careful mixing over the counter meds. These can be dangerous, even fatal. I know how you feel, anything to take away the pain. Is it behind your eyes, or a migraine?

doesn't sound like migraine maybe neck is out of place, migraine, makes you throw up and you can't stand light or sound. it's very bad. Yours might be flu coming on or sinus infection. Do you have a fever? Go on Internet and see what info you can find there. Good Luck

"Is it time already?" In one of those few moments the last few months, my alarm woke me. So that's what I thought initially when I woke up as it is still dark and cold outside and I want to stay in bed instead of going to work early. (But I like going to morning shifts on weekends, gives me the nights to do whatever I want!). My thoughts are mostly different and random every day. Like you, the last few months, I wake up and tell myself "good morning" again and again.

The very first thing that popped into my head was, ohh my back hurts today, not good as I have pool. The next thing was to think, bathroom and that we had to feed the kids, ours and my brother-in-laws that we were babysitting. So that made it 7 to feed, ages 5 months, 1, 1, 1, and 4 along with 16 and 17 year old. Of course they helped. Changing diapers, getting dressed and feeding. That I also needed to clean up and get a shower and get ready for pool all in 3 hours .. LOL! It is night and we all survived so all went good!

My first thought this morning was at 4 o'clock am. It was "ohmigosh we are all still in our clothes, but it has been fun snuggling like this". My second thought was "Ooops, forgot to let the dog out to pee". We got home from eating out as a family last night, my son was grumpy from being over tired, and my husband and I felt yucky because we had not chosen the greatest food to eat for dinner. So we all climbed on our bed, fully clothed and planned to snuggle until my son fell asleep. At 4 am our dog was none too pleased with us because we didn't even think about her before laying down.... we were just going to lay down for a few minutes afterall. Oooopps. She was very peeved at us. Poor little thing, crossing her legs, eyes floating in pee. My third thought was, "oh heck, my son doesn't have a nighttime pullup on, did he pee my bed???????" Thankfully he hadn't!

Hi Opal. It's a pleasure to meet you too. I'm sorry about the pain killers. I must be gone silly taking those many pills at once. You have my word, I won't do it again Opal. I wanna live ya know. I agree, insomnia isn't none of our friend, and I'm glad mine hit the road as soon as I had my baby, and now I stay sleepy and can't seem to get the sleep I need these days, but I know it'll all get better. Oh and my daughter said " thank you Opal for calling me adorable" She really does mean it

My first thought generally is tied to my son, since he is the one who wakes me up each morning. Many days I think "Its too early" or "Not 5 A.M. again." Some days I think "what a little cherub, doll faced, angel baby." Today... I thought "Thank you God for letting him sleep until 7:20 for a change."
