The Pacquiao-Dela Hoya Dream Match is finally over. A lot of people are satisfied with how the Pinoy boxer fight the Mexican superstar. Are you satisfied with the match? Do you believe Dela Hoya had won if he had only continued fighting Pacman up to the end? Your thoughts please...

I did watch the fight and honestly, I don't think that it lived up to all the hype. Pacquiao was great in the match but De La Hoya wasn't there. He is past his prime and should retire. De La Hoya had no chance of winning if the fight continued and could have been permanently hurt. It was a good thing to stop the fight and it should of been stopped a round earlier. Pacquiao should be getting bigger fights in the future.

Yes that's true, Manny should find another big fight in the future. Let's just wait Pacman's announcement of his next opponent.

No, I don't think he will win over Pacman. Manny is way too strong for him considering the facts of the fight. Since from the 1st round to the eighth, I don't think Dela Hoya ever won any of the rounds. I'm just so sorry for him to have ended his career that way.

That's right, a lot of people had told that Oscar should retire now. Anyway, he had faced the greatest fighter in his division and shouldn't be ashamed of it.

It's a wise move for dela Hoya to just surrender. It is very obvious that he could not match Manny's speed and power. He was already helpless in the later rounds. He failed to win in any of the previous rounds so it is very impossible for him to win. It's better for him to stop fighting down to end up literaly knockdown in the boxing arena.

I agree with what Coach Roach had said that they (Golden Boy's corner) should had stopped it 2 rounds earlier. Oscar De La Hoya has not thrown any serious punch at all. I believe that if Oscar and his corner went on to continue the fight he would get knocked down. There was a part in the fight that Oscar hold on to the rope. You can see his knees are weak already and his face so battered. I also think that Pacman even stopped giving punches to Oscar sometime during the fight because he was taking pity on the Golden Boy. Oscar has contributed a lot to the world of boxing and I hope all the best for him in the future. Congratulations to Manny Pacquiao.

Too bad I wasn't able to watch the dream match because my stubborn boardmates had chosen to watch the useless comedy films of the other network and I was fuming with anger that I refused to talk with them until now. I read the whole event in the newspaper, one day after the fight and I read that Oscar Delahoya's trainer decided to throw a white flag finishing the 8th round because he knew that Delahoya's strength was failing and prolonging the match might end up with a knock out in favor of the Filipino fighter which can badly damage the image of Oscar delahoya. Given the words of Delahoya's trainer and coach himself, I don't think the Delahoya will ever win if they continue, it even created too much embarassment with him had the fight continues.

Hi there Neil! Well, what's important to me is that Pacquiao won the fight. I think Dela Hoya will get knocked out if he continued fighting.
