What did you have in your sandwiches today?

We do not have sandwiches in my house everyday, but if I did, it would have ham and mayo in it.

i have salami and tomatoes in my sandwich.that was my dinner.

i love having sandwhiches.they are so easy to prepare and are also nutritious.today i had a egg sandwhich with tomato sauce.

Tuna and mayo I know about but I'm a little intrigued by the cheese and cucumber. I never had that one. What kind of cheese and what kind of bread? Any condiments? I haven't had a sandwich in the last couple days although I did have an onion bagel and butter. Does that count? Probably not. I live about 11 miles outside of Philadelphia where we invented two of the most famous sandwiches in America. Our Hoagie is a cold sandwich with lunchmeat (usually Italian) cheese (usually Provolone) lettuce, tomato, raw onions and olive oil. I also like pickles and/or sweet peppers on mine. The sandwich is served on a long crusty roll and it is yummy. It was invented in South Philly during one of the world wars (can never remember which one) The men who were shipbuilding at the Naval Yard on Hog Island didn't have time for a proper lunch so one of the restaurants started putting the salad, lunchmeat and condiments on the roll that came with the meal. The term hoagie comes from "Hog Island" where the men worked. Our cheesesteak is a hot sandwhich on the same long crusty roll that the Hoagie is made on. It's thin slivers of fried chip steak with raw or fried onions, melted cheese and catsup or mayo. Like the Hoagie, it is scrumptious and never tastes quite so good anyplace else but in the Philadelphia area.

hi we have corn and tomatoes in our sandwich today..me and my hubby loves different types of sandwich....we are pure vegiterians so we like to eat lot of different types of vegitables in our sandwich daily

This may sound a little strange but i actually put chips on my sandwiches. I had always like to eat my sandwiches like that, my daughter even eats hers like that now.

I din not have any sandwich today.. And i dun have a fixed day for snadwiches, i eat them as and when i like.. haha =D But my favourite sandwich will either be chilli tuna, or omelette.. hehe ^_^ But there are times whereby i will create my own sandwich which can be a little gross for plw whom sees it.. lol =D But still, that's one of my favourites too, and it has got 5 decks.. lol

Hey anne! Your discussions are making me very hungry today! I haven't eaten anything yet at all! Now I have to decide what I am going to eat! I love sandwiches and I am feeling very lazy right now. I only want to sit here and mylot! I really need to make some money this month so that I can pay some bills. This is kind of serious for me since I usually am not so interested in the money as the fun and spending time responding to my friends discussions. I hate that I now actually have to watch the clock and think about money! So, I think I might just have a hard boiled egg sandwich since I'm tired and hungry and that's quick and I don't have anything else to put on a sandwich until I go grocery shopping at the end of this week! It's that or peanut butter and that's out for sure!

Hi ya Anne18 I didn't have anything for my lunch today because I had a trip to the dentist and after having treatment I didn't fancy anything to eat when I got back at lunchtime. Tomorrow I think I will have a chicken, tomato and mayonnaise sandwich which I would have had today!

I don't usually eat sandwiches but you made me hungry for one. Cucumber and cheese sounds yummy. I never tried that one.

What about for those who don't know you? you willhave to outline the menu for teh entire week for us to know your eating habits. ha ha ha. anyway. Sandwiches. Hmmm yummy. I love sandwiches. i love to eat chicken sandwiches and tomato cucumber sandwiches. Generally when i am getting ready for work, i put what ever veg is left over in teh fridge between two slices of bread, add some sauce and put it in the sandwich toaster. It becomes nice and crisp and i sit and eat it in front of the TV. I relish each bite and take my time eating it.

I have not got my lunch break yet but my sandwich is ham and cheese. Its a craving i have this week. I keep having different taste.

My children had egg and onion and my husband had some for work also. I mix the eggs with salad cream and my family all love them. Salad cream is half the fat of mayonaise and far nicer. Try it sometime Anne. It really makes a change. It is lovely mixed with tuna also. Tomorrow we are having tuna rolls for lunch. We eat Tuna a few times a week. It is my personal favourite for a sandwhich or with my salads.

I have not had a sandwich today. I have actually not had an sandwich's at all lately. I was going to have a tuna sandwich the other day, but I ended up having a salad with tuna on it instead.

It's still early here for a sandwich but, one child wanted to pack a lunch for school and wanted peanut butter and jelly. I am not organized enough to plan for the week of what we will eat lol What is a cress?

They sound really tasty had peanut butter today on thick toast lovely,but I do like ham and tomato or cheese and pickle.
