I hope this should be difficult to answer..becoz it kept me thinking for a while too... There are other sites which I have come across of late which are much similar to Mylot but I still stick to mylot for most of my time.. If mylot stops paying then I guess I will divert my efforts on those sites... Although I wont completely quit mylot.. I will make a rare visit to respond to my friends posts or at rare think of starting a new thread...but I wont quit completely. What will you do?

That's an honest post, joystick. You are being honest and I really appreciate. I will still come here just for the friends I have made here and If I get them in some other place , with all together, i would go there as well. Before joining myLot, I was into yahoo answers and I was still doing the same. i visit that place even now even though it doesn't pay and I don't have any friend there. For me, its certainly more than the money but when you get paid for something you love doing, nothing like it. Happy mylotting.

hey joystick this true i came here without any reference and only for money, but now seriously i have begun enjoying the way mylot is even if thr money concept is removed , b'cuz i know that it is a great portal to keep ur views before people and see how people think about u, it is easy, undisputed, in other way it gives u the freedom to express, now i think i will stay even if the money concept is removed

Very true. Our ideas can be challenged and expanded here in ways than we normally wouldn't have.

If they had quit paying when I first joined a couple of years ago I might have not kept with mylot. But now that I have been here over two years, I feel attached to a lot of the other posters. So I would definitely keep posting, in particular answering other people's posts. I might post a few less discussions if they didn't pay, but I would at least still answer other people's discussions.

I feel the same way. A few months ago, I would have quit no doubt. Now, I would probably stick around. But I might come here less. But I would definitely still come here. :)

I think mylot has provided a good platform for people from all over the place to come and share their views here at the same instance creating friendship all over the world. It is very challenging and thrilling to share discussions and communicating with people from all levels which I believe some are professional people who are very knowledgeable and are quick to give their worldly knowledge at no cost. We get free consultation for our problems here. There bound to be people who are expertise in certain subjects. And the added bonus is mylot is paying for our active participation here. I will definitely stay put here even if mylot cease paying its members since it is where I found some good people to chat and share my views. I feel this is the only place I can put forward my thoughts and ideas and create an interest in others.

For me, if the concept of payment is completely removed from Mylot, I will definitely still be on Mylot. However, I doubt I will still be as active in terms of participation. Like many other Mylot users, the payment factor is a very big one that influences our participation on this site. Coupled with all the other factors such as making friends and so on, they all play a role that motivates us to continue contributing to this site. So, I really hope there won't come a day where Mylot will have to make that tough decision of having to cancel their payment concept because I'm sure many members will leave because of that. But for me as a loyal Mylot member, I will still stick around but I'll just come back once in a while though.....

I think I would react the same way as you. If myLot stopped paying, I wouldn't quit coming here *completely* unless it turned inactive or many leave so there would be no point in coming anyway. xD I would probably be less encouraged to post though, because the reason I initially joined and started putting a lot of effort into posting is the money. If I found a similar site that paid and had a nice community, then I would probably be more active there. I would still come though, but rarely. =P

i joined mylot actually cos it was the first site i knew that pays money in some way and so i had joined it 3 years ago.... then i realised that the money is real slow.... and i wasnt getting all that much money so i stopped posting on it and i also had gotten very busy so dint really have the time..... but then now after a two year gap i decided to log on again and see whats happening here and i found out that the whole look of the site had changed and it was looking very interesting and colourful too.... so i decided to check it out and when i did so..... i found some awesome discussions and then my mind went reeling....and from that day on i just sit and type out responses and advices to all the mylotters and my friends here but i ahrdly bother checking my money...cos it still pays very less but atleast its one good site to communicate and share your thoughts with other like minded people from all over the world..... so i would say that more than the money now i think i like this site cos i just enjoy being here.... and responding to the amazing variety of discussions here !!

Joystick7.....an unadulterated/emphasized NO! I did not come here for the money! I have not even set up a payout program! This is my social network, my link to the world, and so many of the wonderful people in it! These "cyber" friends of mine are just important as the one's that I can look eye to eye to! I don't even think that I would curtail the time that I spend here! Good question! But No!

I would probably not quit completely, because this is a good place to get advice about things, but I surely would not post on here as much. After all, the main reason I came to mylot to begin with was to make money...

I don't think that I would quit completely. When I first started coming here, I would have probably quit completely. But now, I like the discussions and I like the people. I don't think that I could leave forever. But, I probably would not post as much. The money IS an incentive. But, there is also a lot more to it, too. :)

I am of the same mind set too.... Although I haven't been in Mylot for long, I enjoy posting and reading responses here. It's a lot more flexible than other writing websites (eg. Ciao, Reviewstream, helium) and not as time consuming as maintaining a personal blog. but I would probably would not post as much also.

Whew. This is a very hard question. Right now, I don't really have that many friends here so I guess its easy for me to leave once mylot won't be paying anymore. But in the near future, who knows?

I would have to say yes. Sure, I do enjoy being on here, but the pay, however small it may be, was what drew me in. I think many people on here would agree, but might not admit it. I prefer to be honest.

personally,i won't quit mylotting even if the site will not pay for our posts anymore.BUT i will not be that active anymore.i'll probably visit the site from time to time to interact with fellow mylotters.i think i have become used to this site since i've been a member for quite some time now.so for me to pay back for what mylot has done to me,i'll be sticking here for sure. happy mylotting!

Hi joystick7, Well i have semilar discussion of you before, and my answered is yes i will still do it for i am not concern for the earning here but more on the learning i can get and the friends as well. I been here in this site for more than 5 months now and i can say that this is an addicting site, it is part of my daily routine already.

I am not sure if I would quit mylot but maybe my participation would be reduced. The money is one of the perks for visiting the site.

to be honest yes, as I have a site I do love much and stayed much of my time although it pays also but based on pageviews, good for you if you have many active referrals as your down lines pageviews will be credited to you up to the 10th level, however if you don't have active referrals no matter how long the time you stay you'll be earning less. It's so hard for you to earn a dollar for one month. I think nobody earn there 10 dollars a month even with many active referrals but still we stay and love the site much just because of dear friends there. So I really came to my lot as compared to the other site I can earn here more even if I dont have referrals but of course referrals can be of much help. Just to have my focus participating and starting discussions I can earn in a week what I will earn at the other site for more than a month. So, mylot really offers a better paying concept and that's my reason why I stay.
