It took nearly three hours to write an article! And I think it is not at all a good speed. Actually, inspired by loads of discussions recently taking place here at myLot on article writing - I decided to write weekly one article.
I, therefore, initiated the process today - and it took me nearly three hours to prepare the draft article (Article Word Count: 1230).
First of all, I was to gather information from different websites, then to organize them under different points (sub-headings), after that I spent fair amount of time in choosing a catchy title, and finally when the draft was prepared - I discovered few typos and punctuation mistakes. So, it took me another half an hour to finish it completely.
Is it normal? Is there anyway to improve the speed? I think I took too much time.

Your assumption is correct - it is for my own use! Still I think it took me too long.

It's a long article so the time is just enough. It is better to be sure before posting than being in a hurry and then regretting later when it has been posted. I like your style, very organized. That's how I do it too, but since my articles are usually 400 words. I spent half of your time. Keep writing, and good luck.

It is a good idea to be prepared and to take enough time to get things ready when writing an article. I have written some articles and it seems to me the need to get it done and finished becomes great and sometimes the finished product does not shine as well as I would like. Cheers!!

That's something I have also observed about the quality of my finished product!
