The boy chained to the fireplace

This story just ticked me off.If you have not read or heard of this yet apparently a couple in California had been holding a 16 year old boy against his will for near a year.The boy had been chained in a fireplace,choked with a belt and denied food for days at a time within the year of his captivity.Somehow he managed to escape his prison last week and is now reportedly safe. The boy said he had been hit in the head with a baseball bat regularly,burned on his arm when someone intentionally started a fire in the fireplace while he was sleeping in it and had been choked until he passed out more then once. He also had been forced to take pills,drink alcohol,smoke marijuana and had been cut with knives.What do you think should be done with the couple who held this boy and tortured him for a year?I personally hope they get thrown in the darkest hole in prison.What is your opinion on this story?

I think they should kill them. People like that are so depraved and evil that they shouldn't be allowed to live. They should let the boy give them a few good whacks--about an hour with each of them--then execute them. In a perfect world, they would suffer the same treatment for the same amount of time and then be executed, but our justice system will probably deal with them very lightly.
