Alex Ferguson has been managing Man Utd for so many years now. He's achieved almost everything he'd want to achieve as a football manager. Yet, he's still here because he loves what he does. He's definitely a football genius. He's developed over three to four different teams for Man Utd throughout his career, making the transition from one team to another as smooth as possible. He's developed many youth players into superstars. He's developed one of the most dynamic teams in terms of the understanding of the game between the players. The Beckham-Keane-Scholes-Giggs midfield was one my favourite midfield line-up for Man Utd. The quality of football at Man Utd during that period was breathtaking, the way they play one touches, and one twos, with players making off the balls runs in diagonal directions, and with Beckham making pinpoint accurate long range passes. It was a perfect midfield to me, with great balance. Ferguson will step down very soon, as he is getting older, and will need to get away from the pressures of being a football manager. If he does, who do you think should replace him, and who do you think should take the assistant manager role also? I personally think Carlos Queiroz is the best candidate, with maybe Ryan Giggs or Gary Neville as a future assistant manager. I believe it's important to appoint people who's been at the club for a long time, someone who loves and are passionate about the club.

hi syfarisk, Nobody can deny what Ferguson has done for Manchester United is not at all comparable to anybody else.If it had been possible,I would keep Ferguson for all the seasons to come. But,this will not happen. At the start of this season there were rumors of Jose Mourinho succeeding Sir Alex at Old Trafford in 2012.But,how far these are true nobody knows.Carlos Queiroz would be another good manager as he has experience of working under Ferguson at United. It willl be really tough to say and decide who would be the One!!!

I've never heard of that rumour. But if it were to happen, then I'd totally support that. I think Jose's a very good manager and has the potential to become just like Sir Alex. What he did at Chelsea showed that. His philosophy is unique, and just like Sir Alex, he likes to consistently sit down and talk to the players, and get the players to play intelligently. Jose's still a young manager and there's still a lot more to come from him. The problem he had at Chelsea was the constant pressure from the Board to win trophies. This distracted him to do what he was passionate about. At Man Utd, the Board always trusted Sir Alex and never sacked him when Man Utd didn't win any trophies for three years. I think Jose can benefit from that. I'd really like to see that happen.

You are correct in that the passion Jose brings into the team is commendable. He will really make a great manager and can fill up the void created by Sir Alex. But,I did mention that it was a rumour and this might not happen also.Well lets keep our finger crossed when the time comes when Sir Alex leaves.Hope you liked my response.Have a nice day.
