wow how could you have that much in your bag!? Was it cash check? I would have definitly took the thousand she offered. I am glad the lady that found the bag returned it. There are some people out there that would of just took it and ran. Thats why I ask if it was cash. I can't see it being but who knows. I would feel guilty for the rest of my life if I didnt return it to the owner

Hmm.. I don't think I would return the money. I'm greedy. AND times are really hard right now! But if I did return it.. Of course I would take the 1000! It's the least she could do... LOL

I would have tried to return it. Any amount of money you find over $300 has to be reported, or its considered theft. However, I would have accepted the money as reward, because really I didn't have to return the money. I could have said that I found the bag empty, or not said anything at all. I did the right thing, and I deserve a reward. Not looking for it, but would take it all the same.

I surely would have accepted the one thousand dollars, gladly. I could really use that money and would appreciate it very much since I was honest and returned it to the rightful owner.
