Hi annjilena! First of all how stupid was the woman that lost the money? Who has 100,000 cash and can't hold on to it? Please! If you have that kind of case wouldn't you be guarding it with your life? I know I sure would be! That is beyond stupidity! And it was in a bag? This story isn't making any sense! And some woman just found it and reported and someone called and she gave it back to her just because she said she needed it! If she needed it so badly then why was she stupid enough to lose it? Nope, something doesn't make sense! I don't believe this story at all. And then the woman that found it wouldn't even take $1,000! She is stupidier than the woman that lost it! Would I have returned it? I don't believe it was ever lost! I would have thought it was a trick. I need more details before I could answer honestly.

Oh on annjilena! I'm sorry you misunderstood what I was trying to say! I didn't say you were lying at all! I believed what you said and what the story said, I just don't believe what the two women said. I think that they made it up or something. People do strange things like that all the time for attention.

well, it's nice to have that amount of money but if i give it back to the owner, i would feel better..especially if the person really need that money(not just a part of his/her money), i will be very happy to return it..that feeling is irreplaceable..i haven't encountered that amount yet, though.. ..before i have returned wallets of other people that dropped in front of me and those that are excess of the change(like for example, when i buy, and my change is just 4 but the one that gave the change miscounted it and gave me 5..sorry, i can't explain it clearly)..those are small things but they really made me happy..(NOTE: I don't want to boast..i just want to share..) ..and if i'm really tempted to take that money, i'm sure my parents will still return it to the owner.. ..regarding the US$1,000, i think it depends on my situation..if it was before, i wouldn't accept it but now i think i will 'cause i need it for my mother's medication.. i think that's all i can say^.^v

oh i changed my mind..LOL i remembered something..and.. ..i still wouldn't accept the reward, even though i need it for my mother's medication, 'cause God's reward is even more than that..he can cure my mother, and that's worth more than US$1,000..^.^v

Honestly I would have returned it. I once found a mans wallet with over $5,000.00 in it. I took it down to the police station and turned it in. The next day he stopped by my house to thank me for not taking anything out of it and gave me a thank you card and left. when I opened the card it was $500.00. I wanted to return the money but did not know where the man lived. But in that card he gave me it said god has created a few god and honest people in this world today. I wish there was more people out there like you. God bless. So I think i you have found money or a wallet or anything to that sort you should always turn it in. Because wouldn't you if you lost your money wish someone would turn it in. To give you a chance to get it back?

I would have return the money as well.Honesty is worth dying for.I commend the woman that found the money for her honesty, she has demonstrated a quality that worth telling the world. One can not be rich because one found another person's money, one can only be rich by hardwork, commitment, determination and the blessing of God which can only be gotten by being honest.

Wow! there is still so many good people around God Bless them.I am sure in some way she will be rewarded for her honesty and good will.I would surely return it as I will put myself in the other person's place.Who knows how much this money is needed for them and what hard work went into getting that money. There is someone above watching us.I would die of guilt if I were to take the money.Surely temptation would be there. But I feel some good will come of it when you do a good deed.

Hi Annjilena, Why not, definitely I will return the money even if the amount is more than that. I will tell you why. I know that is somebody's hard earned money. It is a difficult situation when we realize we lost our hard earned money. If I lost even a penny without my knowledge I felt very bad. I am spending money, I am giving money to beggars but when I lost money by careless, it is not all a good feeling. Secondly I will get peace in mind only when either I returned the money to the owner or handed over to the authority. I don't want anybody's certificate as 'I am honest' but I will do it, just for the peace of mind or doing justice to my mind.

Of Course I would return it. The reason is that we may get into trouble later with that money. Lol. I don't want to risk my life and for that reason I will definitely give back the money. But I will surely accept the offer of $1000. How about you???

I think this is one of those questions that you don't know the answer to unless you've actually been put in that situation. I have to say that I think I'd have to give the money back. I know how gutted I'd be if I lost that amount of money. And I don't think I could do anything else with the money without feeling extremely guilty about it for a very long time afterwards.

frankly speaking, yeah, I would return it to the owner...I might have a teeny weeny bit of greed, thinking that "Hey, i should just keep the money right? it isn't like other people would know about it or anything.." But look, think about this: What if the owner really needed the money desperately? It's not like you found 10 cents on the ground or anything, it's 100,000 DOLLARS. it might be for charity, or some money for a college course...etc etc. Come to think of it, if the money is for something BIG, you might even be able to save a life or even LIVES, for giving back the money to its owner! Furthermore, if you return the money, you would be doing something GOOD *thumbs up*! haha. so, yeah. I would return the money(:

No, I would return it, honestly. I would be very tempted to keep it but the fear of the cops would make me return it. I would rather return and get a pat on the back than get caught and get a night in the lockup.

hello annjilena, You find it hard to believe, but yes I will return it or anything for that matter to the owner. I know life is hard now a days, but it's just right to give it to the owner. There is a saying that "honesty is the best policy." Besides, I'm afraid of the what they call the "karma." Everybody needs money, that's why we're all working to have it. But getting somebody's money is a different story. Nowadays, it's hard to find an honest person. So, giving her a reward in giving her back her money is the best thing that the owner will do.

well if i had seen some one lost that much of money in front of my eyes for sure i will give it to them and also would return the money bag if it contains their name, address and any other information to know who is the owner of the bag. But i wouldn't return it to the other forces like police and others as they them selves would mint the money ..............this is my honest answer.

I also would have certainly. May sound little overconfident, but I walk with a theorem- self certification of your earnings. I always care for what way I a earning. Is it a soft money or a result of something concrete output from my side. Because all that soft returns back as a Boom-e-Rang without fail in any form. Many of the people would have returned them. I think the people are more interested in a reward Party upon such incident than the whole amount & its credit also.
