Do you have any suggestions in increasing appetite for kids ages 3-5 years old? My 3 year old niece is underweight because she is very choosy with foods. I tried several vitamins like Clusivol and Incremin but it seems it's not effective.

When my son was 2-3 years of age he was also underweight and I use to worry a lot about his health because he was a VERY picky eater like your daughter and he didn't want to eat solid food too much, but he like to drink a lot of milk . I started to give him 1-2 PediaSure drinks a day and I also use to buy Ovaltine and he would drink that also. I'm not sure if you have those brands in your country but you might be able to find something similar for your little girl to drink. They do work, My son started to put on weight and he loved drinking these high vitamin milk shakes .The high vitamin flavored milk shake drinks work well for putting weight on small children. Also feeding her peanut butter and jelly sandwiches will put weight on her if you feed it to her daily ( if she like's peanut butter)Good luck!

I think small children sometimes have a hard time adjusting to table food when they they are wigged off the baby bottle. And they are picky eaters because they are still not sure about this table food thing and feel more comfort drinking milk and other types of dairy products. What you did with your daughter , pouring cream and baby milk in her drink with strawberry quick is a great ideal, and very affordable, . PediaSure is expensive but I use to mostly buy the Walmart brand of it, it's a bit cheaper in price when you buy their brand ( I think it's Equate brand) and I use to switch it around with Ovaltine. My son also love to drink the Nestle Quick when he was underweight, he still loves to drink it..

Thanks for all your suggestions. Yes, PediaSure is a good milk. She is also drinking PediaSure. However, her weight doesn't improve that is why I wanted to provide her a vitamin supplement. She doesn't like chocolate drink because she has allergies. I worry because she is too small for her age. We have tried everything to improve her health but do not seem to work.

My son is 2 years old but under weight.. He is not drinking too much milk at this time compared before . I heared about pediasure but its not available here in our place. At this time he is eating rice ,cereals, fruits and others . But still he need calcium for his growth especially he was born premature and stayed in hospital for two months. As what i observed that he has late development . I try also kiddi pharmaton to enhance his appetite . Any other recommendations for my son .

I have twins and they are 4 and half years and they have very poor appetite. Just try giving different kind of food they like instead of giving vitamin supplements. Thats what I am doing with my twins. Now they are improving and they are gaining weight.

Thank you for your suggestion. I will try that but I cannot be sure that she will eat different varieties of food. She has been used to what her mom servers for her.
