does cooking makes you relax?

Well I used to love cooking very much, but now I have to be in the mood to cook something special. Sometime I relax cooking, when I am in good mood especially when cooking something sweet like baking a cake or making something which really I like to eat. Well the washing up is a bit odd, however if you clean up away things that you don't need at the same time, you will end up with less dishes to wash. I admire those who work in the kitchen since cooking sometimes can be an art too. And you, do you relax cooking or get more nervous ?

Cooking helps me relax like you said especially if its something thet I like. This is because you have to concentrate on what you are cooking and this sometimes take your mind away from everything else especially if you were having problems. The washing of plates after cooking might stress you slightly but the actual cooking is very therapeutic.

Cooking makes me more nervous when the food I cook when wrong some where or burn. Otherwise when I do great food for my friend and family, I feel satisfied and will keep me cooking for more dish. I like to cook during the weekend especially on Sunday. I will invite my friends over and start to cook together and eat together with chat and laughter. So I would say it is a enjoyable and pleasurable thing to do with your friends.

Cooking is my hobby. Everyday (I am work at home), I must cook for my husband and my son. Sometimes, I ask my neighbor cooking together. It is very fun and make us like eating. I always try to washes the dishes when I am cooking. So, cooking is finish and washes the dishes finish too. I enjoy this activity.

Nope, I don't think so. Especially if it's baking or frying, the heat gets to me. And the cleaning and washing up often gets me so worked up. It's not a relaxing exercise for me - but I guess eating is!

Hi! cooking is one of my favorite thing to do in the house and yes It really does relaxes me doing that.If I don't have someone to help me in the kitchen definitely I'll be doing the dishes too which is not really so interesting hahha. But the fact that I know my family would love what I prepared and cooked, hmmm that makes me happy too.

I have to be in the mood to bake. I cook dinner most every night for my family. Baking though I do rarely. I do feel relaxed though when i am cooking. I like to try new recipes also. I only get nervous when I have to cook something to take someplace. i worry that it wont turn out right.

I am a lot better about it than I used to be, but cooking irritates me to no end. I can not stand cooking something over the stove like pork chops or something that takes a long time. I used to not cook anything, now I will cook stuff and sort of enjoy it but I try to make my meals easy. I will add seasoning and stuff and experiment but everything usually gets thrown in the oven and stuff that is made on top the stove is usually something quick like potatoes.

It depends on why I am cooking whether or not I can relax. If I am making a dish that I just wanted to try, or preparing some comfort food I find it very relaxing. I am ab;le to immerse myself in what I am doing and thoroughly enjoy it. Preparing dinner for my family or for special occassions is not at all relxing becaus I usually have a lot of distractions going on preventing me from being able to immerse myself in the activity.
