If losing weight is your new year's resolution, or just something that's been on your mind lately? What's your plan: I exercise but food really does determine wether you lose weight or not! What is a good meal to cook to lose weight? What do you think?

try eating steamed foods...e.g.: steamed fish, steamed vegetables... you might feel a bit sick after a long period of time, but i think it helps in losing weight. My aunt has just lost a lot of weight recently because of that.

I find baked fish, salads and grilled dishes a great way to keep my weight under check. This way I can reduce my calorie intake without compromising on taste. I like the baked salmon recipes here for the great taste and variety. http://www.ifood.tv/network/baked_salmon/recipes

It seems that every year, my resolution is to lose weight. Since it's on my list every year, you can see how successful I've been. LOL. This year, I'm not going to deprive myself, I'm just going to eat everything that I normally eat but in smaller portions. I'm an exerciser as well but the bottom line is that you have to reduce the number of calories that you eat to lose weight. One of my favorite things to cook when I'm dieting is a stir fry. I stir fry veggies and a little bit of chicken in chicken broth. Sometimes, I'll eat a little bit of brown rice with it. I think that one of the keys is to increase the fiber in your diet. It makes you feel a lot fuller.
