i am a chinese.i really wanna know how you guys abroad see this? don't tell me you never heard of Tibet and Dalai Lama. first of all i really think Dalai Lama is a wiseman, a philosopher,a thinker. however, every coin has two sides.what he did and what he is doing is totally contrary to what he believes. how do you define freedom? is that some leaders doing whatever they want and the villagers in poor? what chinese goverment should do? Let Dalai come back and help him build a feudal society?that will be totally a back in history

Yes, China has abused and used Tibet very badly. The Chinese Army went in last summer and killed hundreds of Monks who were only standing up for their country. This Put China in a bad light but Beijing did not desist with the killings. If the Beijing Olympics had been boycotted the Chinese Government would have backed down in Tibet. China has a very poor Human Rights record!
