If it's my personal computer, then I will keep the MSN history in my computer. If it's the computer in the office, then I will cancel this feature. I have to accept that sometimes it's still better to have the history so that we can find what we want.

No, I do not keep the MSN chatting history. To me, it's just a chatting and do not need any record of it. Besides, it's not safe to keep it, as someone might view it accidentally and might create problem, because the conversation might be related to private and confidential issue. However, it's frustrating that while chatting half way, the internet connection was cut off, or the MSN program encounter error, the conversation were cut off. I couldn't trace back the record of the previous dialogue and I need to ask my friend about what they had written.

I hope MSN can improve itself and you can set to store a specific one's chatting history rather than all of them. You are a professional programmer and I think you can keep my this idea

Good afternoon, youless. I seldom delete the history as I use my own laptop for my personal use. If it is used in the office, then I will not keep it for privacy. It is better to be safe. Good day to you, youless.

I used to have an MSN account, but as I seldom use it, I forget the account and password. Now I use QQ only.

ha ha ha ha ha... I have been using the online version of the messenger so long, I have forgotten what the individual messengers look like already. With so many friends on so many different messengers, it is hard to leave all the different messengers on. Takes up so much computer memory just to leave them on. So I decided to use the online ones instead. Just the browser memory which is not alot for keeping the messengers online. So, no history is available for me.

Well some people think is dangerous to keep the MSN history on, well depends what you do with MSN, it's not just a question of personal information and privacy but also a question of hid your chat with other people so no one can read it for some reason. Well a I'm very disturbed by privacy I use a simple method to record my MSN history with security, bought an external hard drive where i keep all my documents and contents, also where i keep my MSN history, small, secure, encrypted and with a password on it. It's the best way to keep your records and also be secure that no one sees your stuff without your approval :).

no i dont coz it will be easy for the others to see my previous chat. unlike in yahoo you can archive previous messages but you must login first. but in msn all history will be save in compute which is not safe. like what if your chatting to the person and yo talk about very secret or private things. then if someone open your computer and browse your whole computer, they will see your previous chat and read all your previous messages.

It is possible that the MSN history may be read by someone else who uses your computer.

I only keep MSN history in the account that I used to deal trades with people because I sometimes needed proof to support myself. As for my personal MSN account, I don't really bother to keep a history.

Of course yes,it takes much trouble if we don't keep such histories. i ever thought MSN doesn't have such feature as QQ. but it's really happy to find that we can see the history and follow up how everything goes last time.

Yes! I sometimes re-read conversations if I need to know something, or sometimes I read conversations again just because they were so funny. I also have a look at some conversations when I'm bored. It's just helpful, because you never know when you might need something!

I have a MSN account, but i seldom use it, cos i don't have any foreign friends, how i desire to have one and i could chat on it. In my country, we always use QQ under Tencent. I will keep the history on it to recall the sweet chat with my friends sometimes.

If it is my personnel computer, I will keep history so as refer back to links send by my friend. However, I will not have this features when I am using computer outside. I will want to have my own privacy. Recently, my friend accessed the school laptop and came across the msn history. The group of them saw open the history of our classmate and reveal some secrets. I feel that this is very bad as anyone can access to the history of the msn as long as they using the log in to the school's laptop.

Absolutely not my dear, and I will delete all of them after I have read them without any hesitation. I would like to copy and paste, those information which I consider that they are really important and worth to keep for further reference, in somewhere in my personal computer only. For the sake of safety, I will definitely delete everything straight away after using the public computer. You know, very often there are someone who has malicious motive lurking somewhere around in the dark to take his advantage of us. So we must be very careful and try not to leave any personal information on a public computer even those we usually use in our office. Take care and posting.
