Hi friends! Today fun seems to be taking control of most people and they don't care to pay attention to their future or so. At times you will see people behaving somehow and the thought that will come to your mind is; do they really care for themselves? You will see people doing crazy things like stealing, drugs etc Personal development to me is something I regard. Each day, I try to ask myself questions like; Am I moving forward? Am I improving? etc When we are concious of our life and future, we will definitely do anything in our own strength remain positive. What do you think about personal development? Are you conscious of it? Thanks for your response in advance. Seasons greetings!

Yes, personal development is very important, it start from the mind, it is a decision. It takes time and money to get oneself developed, the development could be education, knowledge and skills acquisition. I love to do those things. cheers!

Yes, personal development and evaluation is very important and should continue throughout ones life. I recently lost my job due to the current economic situation. I have been looking (a little bit) for another job but, since there isn't much opportunity in my area, I have recently taken stock of my situation...my skill set with regards to the area I live in. I have decided that I need to add to my skills and am currently undergoing the admissions process for the nearest community college. I never received a degree, although I have 70 credits, so I will see what transfers from my home state and plan to complete an AS degree at the community college here and possibly transfer those credits to a BS program at one of the univerisities. Or, I could work at Burger King who is the only employer hiring in my town. This is why you need to chart a course for yourself or you'll be stuck at Burger King.

Hi spalladino! wow! I must commend you for taking a bold step in trying to develop your skill and be a better person. I'm motivation by the remarkable decission you made. At times we don't need people to give us advice before making good decissions and well as taking bold steps. What we need to have is; "decission". When we decide to achieve something, nothing can stop us; most especially when we in good health. Thanks, take care of your self. Merry Christmas and a promising new in advance.

When I saw this discussion I could not help but add to it. My husband and business partner certainly care about personal development...because it is what we do for a living. We also care about it personally because it has been said that the best way to "teach/lead/guide/mentor" is by example. So we are committed to walking our talk so that those we engage with can actually believe what we say...because not only do we say it...we do it! I think the self-questioning you do is very impressive. Many out there do not. From the sound of it you have developed a lot of awareness and with that kind of positivity I am sure you will succeed in whatever endeavors you are involved in. In my view we are here to grow and learn about "right action" through the cause and effect of our choice making. May the light of truth and love continue to illuminate your path. All the best of the season to you too! Raia
