Husky vs Malamute

A lot of you here love Huskies (me included) but what about the Malamute? When you put the 2 dogs together, which do you prefer the look of?
The Alaskan Malamute is more powerful, larger in size and only has brown eyes. I heard the lifespan of the Malamute is a few years shorter than that of the Husky.

I've heard the lifespan was about the same actually. Mals just seem to be the huskys stockier cousin & most people aren't familar with them as they're usually at the back of the sled team & tend to just blend into the bounding fur. I prefer mals myself, there's just a power to them...

I love Malamutes. I grew up in Alaska and there is just something about the majesty of a Malamute that a regular Husky doesn't have. I loved watching the Malamutes pull the dog sleds with their heads held high. It is a sight I will never forget.
