DWTS Live or Disney on Ice?

For a month or so now hubby and I have been talking about going to see Disney On Ice with the kids, and I've been begging him to take me to see Dancing With The Stars Live. Last night he was looking around for tickets, he started looking for Dancing With The Stars tickets. First off, these tickets start at about $100. Second, the closest show to us is about 3 hours drive away, so that would be a very long time to leave the kids with a sitter (which would be their grandparents). While hubby was looking for tickets though, he came across some reviews of the DWTS show, and some people said it wasn't worth the money. They said there was more singing than dancing, and it was a total waste. I'd hate to pay that kind of money to be that disappointed. In the end I told hubby to just forget it. So since we weren't spending the money on those tickets, hubby decided to buy the good seats for Disney on Ice.. at least the price of that is reasonable. Cheap seats are $13, but the good seats are $45. Hubby managed to get us front row seats!! And we know we're going to enjoy this one! Even if we don't enjoy it ourselves, which we probably will, we'll enjoy watching the kids enjoy it. It's always so much fun when your kids are that happy and excited. So I'm happy knowing I made the right choice, I don't really need to see DWTS, the TV show is good enough for me. But Disney on Ice will be awesome! I'm very excited about going, and even more excited about the awesome seats hubby got!! Which would you have chosen?

I think I would have chosen the Disney on Ice. I have never really gotten into Dancing with the Stars though, so that would sway my decision. I hope you and your family have a good time. When is the show?

January 11th. That's a Sunday. Hopefully I'll take lots and lots of pics, so long as they allow me to bring my camera in.

I probably would have chosen disney on ice anyways. i like dwts but mostly just for the competition of it. I like to see which celebrity will win. the dancing is fun to watch but only as part of the competition. i don't think i would enjoy just going to see them dance. we took our oldest to a disney on ice show a few years ago. i enjoyed it too so I think you will all have fun.
