gosh I can't even remember much of John Denver, I did like him in the 70's but I don't remember what he sang to be honest with you.

Suggestion. go to You Tube. His hits are there. That's how I revisited him.And then come back and tell me which song you like.

Yes, most of his songs can be considered country . I think of him as a folk singer myself. If you go to You Tube and type in john Denver you can see and hear his songs.My favorite is Annie's Song.

I love John Denver....I make a movie every year of my granddaughter....her first one was set to Annie's song.....then I made a movie for my brother and sisters from a picture of my parents to our last Christmas togethers...set to "For you"...I love that song most of all. After my son graduates this spring he is going to learn to play guitar....mostly just to learn how to play and sing his favorite John Denver songs!

Personally, I can say I love John Denver's music today as I loved it the first moment I heard his songs. They are so romantic and sensible, yet at the same time, so up to date with today's life.
