Will you be active on myLot over the Christmas holidays or will you be too busy?

Christmas is coming quickly, and I have noticed that I have become quite busy. There are a lot of things to arrange and to manage, so time is of the essence. It also doesn't help that we are in the middle of massive snow falls in Canada and attention must be paid to snow removal. I am going to attempt to log some time on myLot during the holidays when I can get the chance. How about you? Perhaps you don't celebrate Christmas or you don't get a break over that period, so this question is erroneous. So, what will be your activity pattern on myLot over the next coming weeks and why?

I think I will be able to be more active than usual over the holidays because I will be working right through until the beginning of January. I work as a relief receptionist doing the evening shifts in the reception of an hotel and I am scheduled to be there almost every evening and as there will not be as many guests as usual I will be able to catch up here 
I will be able to be with family during the daytime although my only family here is my son and he will be involved with his work too and with his in-laws so you can expect to see me a lot I guess

Gosh I've been on ever SINCE those holidays! 
Work got slack but it should pick up next month and who knows how often I will be on then... though I doubt it will be noticeable

No problem mysdianait. It's not always easy to pick a best response, and I considered a couple of them, but yours was well deserving. Ahhh, the ebb and flow of the work world. My work has been much more flow and not much ebb lately. Not that I'm complaining though. I'd take that to the no flow variety any day.

Well, I guess that is one benefit of being required to work over the holidays when things aren't all rushed. Being able to converse on myLot during the down times is quite the bonus. I am sure that it will help pass the time more quickly as well. I'll keep an eye out for you when I get my chances to pop in here. Merry Christmas.

I most likely won't be able to log on to mylot on December 24th and 25th as those are two days when I have family gatherings and stuff. So, I don't see myself having time to log on to mylot. But otherwise, I doubt that I'm going to be too busy to come on to mylot. I don't see that happening.

That's why you need Pocket PC or smart phone, so that you can sneak away and respond to your discussion while you've locked yourself in the bathroom.

I hear you. I like to wind down at the end of the day by answering e-mails and attending to my online activities. There is something to be said about peacefully going about your business on the computer alone. My computer makes for a wonderful excuse.

I have been busy for the past week too because of preparations for the holidays and the end of the year. I haven't been able to mylot that much last week also because of the work i would to finish before the Christmas break starts. I am not really sure if I would intentionally spend some time mylotting or it will be something that I would squeeze in (like what I am doing now) as I rest after a long day of errands.

Well, I am in squeeze-in mode at the moment. After all tasks are finished and all errands have been run, sleep comes first and any left over time gets split between activities. Even a thirty minute power nap in the middle of the day can be very refreshing. Merry Christmas.

I probably won't check into My Lot on Christmas Day, I will be far too interested in those Chrismas movie repeats! I do check my email on a daily basis though so I guess I may do that and perhaps take a glance in My Lot! I think my Christmas starts now and I don't know if I have missed anything on the tv as yet. The tv has been off all day and I have been infront of the computer! Andrew

I find that I am watching less and less television with each passing day. Most if it seems all to repetitive and boring. I did watch my standard amount of European Football today, as I do every Saturday. That hasn't changed. I have seen a few Christmas Specials this year and we always seem to set aside some time for A Christmas Story. "Fra-jee-lay (fragile) must be Italian" Best Christmas Special line ever!

Today and tomorrow, I will dedicate my time with myLot. I still have school on Monday and Tuesday but after that, I will be here most of the time. Since I started school a month ago, I had lesser time with myLot. I had to study and do homeworks after school and sometimes I was too tired to even make a respond although I log in here everyday. This vacation will be my time to compensate for that lost time and I will really do my best to achieve my payout before the year ends. I am excited not only for the holidays but because I have more time here in myLot. I will surely be here even during Christmas day itself. Merry Christmas!

Yeah, I usually have more time for myLot on the weekends also. I don't often get extra time to compensate for previous days though. I just have to move on and focus on the next days tasks. It sounds as though many people will be reaching for the end-of-month payout target, so discussions are bound to get more interesting here in the next few days. Well, things have been quite busy around here as well. Between work, Christmas parties, and other things going on, sometimes I have little time to be online but always try to come spend a little time here in myLot as I can. I will be working Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and then have family to go and visit on my husbands side so I am sure I will not be around much at all, but will try if I can find some time. I am really trying to somehow reach payout this month, but having a hard time finding enough time most days it seems as well.

Working both Christmas Eve and Christmas! I hope that you chosen to do this and that you will be making lots of money. I guess that looking on the bright side of things, at least we know that you still have a job as many people have been laid off recently. Sometimes it's difficult to find the time to post on myLot. I'll be here as usual for half an hour or so. Can't do without my Mylot fix! haha

Hahaha. Yeah, old habits die hard. I find it hard to break away from my online activities too. I try to get a little bit in even when I am busy. I hope that you have an enjoyable Christmas holidays. Cheers.

i will be busy aliot but i will still have to dictateso it can be a distraction from the pain of my back so i guess i will be here min about 30 mins a day. i will also use mylot as a kid when my family gets a lil to much for me as they offten to during the holidays

I'll probably still be active on myLot over the holidays. I still have to work, so it's not like I can disappear into the sunset. I might not get as much intime as I have before. It just depends on what's going on that day.

I think there will be a lot of time off line, this is the only time that most of family members and relatives will meet and have a get together and in my side it's the longest vacation time ever without crediting it from my annual leave vacation. So, I would spend more time away from the internet as much as possible and be with family.

I would venture to say that those sentiments will be held by many. Setting aside time for family is very important. Especially nowadays where work seems to be encroaching more and more into all aspects of ones life, for those who don't find themselves recently unemployed. The line between work and family balance is being blurred. Sometimes it's good to get a break away from the internet and all our technology. I wish I could say that I will be doing that, but I can't pry myself away from it completely. Enjoy the holidays with your family and Merry Christmas.

Yeah, it will be difficult to manage some internet time while spending time with family during gatherings at Christmas. I am going to try to set aside a little bit of time to check e-mails and respond to comments on forums, such as myLot, that I am a member of. I just don't think that I will have much time for these activities for several days around Christmas. I'll do my best to make time though.
