What do you do? I eat for living. I do not live for eating. Any simple food, if it is prepared in clean environment, is ok for me. I am not very much attached to any specific food item too.

I have a friend who's very big and likes eating. She has knees problems, beside lots of other problems.I told her to take care of herself a litle bit.
She told me that this is the point of living - eat and savour.Feel the taste.
If it is to die, than at least you enjoyed life.
I am exactly the opposite.
Even though I enjoy certain foods, I eat only to survive.A little bit. Am I to "dry"? Maybe...

I think your principle is correct. Those who a lot, they get more diseases. However, everybody is at liberty to think and act according to his/her own will as far as it's a personal matter. So, do not criticize her. Let her go in her track, you be on your own.

I am so very thankful that I inherited some great genes from my parents so I have been able to avoid obesity since I live to eat! I love food.....and I enjoy every minute of eating it! I feel terribly for anyone that has to limit what they eat and how much they eat because I know how very difficult that would be for me!
