What would you do if you got a 50% pay increase @ work?

I would of course increase my personal spending allowance and save more money too. I would also take more trips with my son too. he loves to travel & does great in a car. So we'd prob go visit family more often so he could see his cousins more too. he loves spending time with all his cousins but they all live fairly far away. What about you? What would you do?

I'd most likely save most of it. What can I say? I'm just that type of person. I'd probably take some to buy a book or something. Though I'd probably use a lot of it to help my fiance through university and such, as he has to pay his way through school. I'd help him out in any way I could, whether it's paying rent, for groceries, any thing, really.

That'd be really nice of you as i know 1st hand how expensive goin to school is. It will deffinitely break the bank.

Thanks. I care, I can't help. It's the way I am. And it certainly would break the bank.

We would probably increase some of our spending money and save more too. We would probably afford to take a nice little vacation somewhere, where we wouldn't have to keep track of what we're spending and how much money we have left.

I'd probably save all of it first because, without a proper plan, my first instinct would be to go shopping or spend it on those things I've wanted but thought were too expensive. After saving for awhile and thinking about it I would hope that I would just keep saving it. Anything I don't need to spend I'd put away. It makes me feel so secure to have my savings grow. I can always turn to it if I do want to splurge on something but I don't feel compelled to. If I were to splurge it would most likely be on shows. I love broadway but it's been getting so expensive to go to the theatre. Good question.

i'm that way too there are lot of things i like and want but i don't because i feel like it's too much $ to spend on myself. especially since i have a 6 year old. i always worry there might be something that comes up where i might need that money for him or something.
