This year I'm not making a resolution, because every time I try to do that I never stick to it, so I decided to just go with the flow this year, how about you are you gonna make a new years resolution?

Hi apples99 Well there are some things I would like to do in the new year like lose weight (yawn yawn), do more exercise and join the Samaritans but I don't want to call them resolutions because when I do that I never seem to stick to them. I know one thing I shall definitely stick to and that is joining the Samaritans!!

LOL yea maybe if you just make your resolution like an everyday life goal and a natural part of your life and just do them you will stick with them, but for me if I say its a resolution I will sike myself out, and lose interest in doing them lol. Well I hope you have a wonderful holiday and happy new year.

I am going to make resolutions. Like you, I never used to be able to stick to resolutions but at the beginning of 2008, I took a New Years Resolution class. The advice was to first create a goal statement for each of your resolutions and to create monthly and weekly goals to achieve each of them. The last step was to measure your weekly progress each day. This was the first year that I stuck to 2 of the three goals that I created. So here it goes: 1. To lose 20 lbs. I've decided to use the Bob Greene Best Life Diet to achieve this one. 2. To write three novels this year. I wrote two last year and I'm using the Book Im A Month method to achieve this one. 3. To exercise more. Goal is to weight train 3x week and to increase cardo until I am exercising 45 minutes per day 6 times per week,. I hope that you won't give up on making resolutions. It's such a feeling of achievement when you actually stick to them. You will make a difference in your life. Good Luck.

Well thank-you for sharing, I haven't had much luck in the past with keeping my resolution's but I'm still very much looking forward to the new year. I see that one of your resolution's is to lose a few pounds, and a few years ago I was trying to lose wight also, but it wasn't really apart of any resolution but, anyway I lost wight using the slim fast plan I was on it for a few months and I joined a jim too, and it worked really well for me, and years later Iv been able to keep the wight off. Well good luck with your resolution and happy new year.

Yes its hard to stick with my resolution's too, so like I said I'm just going to go with the flow this year, and just go in to the new year with a positive attitude and just hope and pray for the best, anyway enjoy your upcoming holiday and have a happy new year.

Nope I wouldnt be making one as well, back when we were at school we used to write them down and realized not even a month you fail your resolutions. LOL. Nevertheless, I personally think new Year's resolution are absolutely okay as long as you can keep them, but not for me and as you posted you too. But I have wishes and desires for the next year though, accompanied by prayers and hardwork, it could be fulfilled. Merry Christmas and happy New Year to you apples !

I am going to make one. I just want to stay true to my happiness. I feel like I've been getting out of touch lately. I just need that renewed sense of love, I'll be with my family that night, and I know I'll kick off the new year right.

well I made resolution for 2008 and it didn't happen because of the unexpected crisis. now I will make a resolution for 2009, stick to it like with the other resolutions and hope nothing will deter it. but things happen, don't they? I don't know as for now what resolution it would be unless paying as much of my debts off or not creating any more debts.
