Have You Ever Thought Of Writing A Book?

I've always wanted to write a book about my life and what it's like to be a single mother. I know there are many mother's out there who share the same thoughts on motherhood as me. I started a blog last week and to me, it is like the book that I have always wanted to write. If you are interested in reading it then check out my profile, I have my blog down as my site. Have you ever thought of writing a book or have you ever wrote a book?

I have dreamt of writing a book since I was a teen. Once after college I began a manuscript and wrote 300+ pages, but then it just went no where. Then I hit writer's block and hopefully now it is gone. So right now I am currently working on a fiction novel. I have approximately two chapters I began a couple of weeks ago but was unable to get back with them...and I have tons saved away i can add in as I go with this one...cause it's kinda similar to an idea I had last year that I wrote some chapters on. So I need to tweak and meld them into the overall focus of this novel. I think I can do it this time. And I think it will work. ANd I hope by early summer next year I will have a decent start on my first novel. You should write a book on your life..everyone should. Everyone has a story, a unique aspectof life. After all you are the only one who walks in your shoes and sees life with your eyes. Happy writing and I will check out your blog.

Thanks for the BR. And since I originally responded to this I have taken my writing up a notch...thanks to Writer's Digest magazine. I don't know if you read this magazine but it helps immensely with writing ideas and strategies. You can also use their online forum which has tips and other info all for free. Thanks again and have a great day.

I've always been attracted to the notion of becoming a writer; however, I'm horrible at keeping the discipline that is required to truly become a writer. Yes, the idea of becoming a writer sounds glamorous and fun, unfortunately, I'm too lazy to really buckle down and write. So now, I only used my writing skills for sites like mylot or do text-based roleplaying games to exorcise my creative writing skills. Oh, well, maybe in time, I'll get around to actually writing my story...if not..it's a pretty cool dream. However, if I do buckle down and decide to write it will probably fiction..more into the line of romance..a genre that I myself enjoy reading.

I have always thought of writing a book but I don't think I would really write a book since I don't think I am creative enough and it would be hard for me to sit there and imagine things for a long time. I do admire people who would be able to write beautifully though.

This is definitely a goal of mine although whether I ever achieve it or not is another matter! I love to write and I have written numerous articles for Helium! I also have some writings published with Triond and a work of fiction with Associated Content. I have been keeping personal journals for many years as well. I write about my life, my thoughts and my feelings and this has proved to be helpful for me. I have also created a blog with freewebs about my life. I leave it to the readers to decide whether my life is interesting or not! I'm not sure I have many readers at the present time. I don't know if you know about this site or not but I will give you the link just in case. The site is www.lulu.com You can go to this site and it gives you everything you need in order to create your very first book. This is the site that I'm going to use in order to get my first book out into some bookshops. Yes, it helps you get a physical book out to some popular bookshops. Anyway, I don't know what kind of book it's going to be but I have an interest in creative writing and I thought that I might create a book of short stories. Good luck with your own writings and good luck with having your first book published. Andrew

One of my MBA Batchmates just wrote a Suspense - thrill novel revolving around a murder mystery. She sent us the first chapter of it to proof read and I must say its really well written...grips you at every word..and the imagination is so vivid that you feel as if you are having an Out of Body Experience...hovering around the landscape of that novel...However, she is still searching for a publisher to publish the same. I for now have not read even the first chapter completely because I would hate it if i dont get to see the end of the suspense..so waiting for her to publish her Novel! My reason for sharing this experience is that...YeS! I have often thought of writing a book about my life..my relationship with my father....my chldhood experiences....and how they shaped me as an adult..the relationships I have been through....why I chose those guys...what mistakes I made..lessons I learnt....my hopes and dreams as a woman and as an individual..where I am heading towards in life...will I achieve what I want...or am I really clear even now as to what I want...all of these questions, mysteries and much much more... However, after reading my friend's novel and seeing that she is finding it difficult to find a publisher...I am feeling a little discouraged...i wonder how my book will ultimately come out..will it ever get published..whould I wait for more life experiences before starting it... But one thing is sure..whenever I do write a book, it will be a Non-Fiction as I am a very pragmatic and phlosophical person, very low on creativity but definitely great at laying down experiences and thoughts!:) But i do hope, for my own self..that I write one some day...

I have always wanted to be a Writer as well, and always find myself writing on paper when I am not online. I am usually writing a lot of times about my life experiences and such, and have even submitted some of my stuff on various places over the yrs. as well. Actually one of my main Goals in life is to be a Published author someday, and God willing I am really hoping that this can happen. Wishing you the Best as well.

Yes, I have also thought about writing a book. I already have a few chapters of the first part, but now I am tempted to pick it up again to write the second part. My story has to do with moving countries and my experiences with regards to family, friends, customs, language while having two children.

I have always wanted to write a book about the life of those people with whom I have become close. I love to observe their lives and often wonder whether I could predict their feelings and responses to certain situations. This would be a grand project, but I hope I will be able to do it some day. Perhaps, I will present it as fiction, you know, with the usual writerly ploys. Well, this is in fact just a dream...lol

Being published has been a secret dream of mine since I was aged about 10! I doubt it'll happen, but it's worth a shot. On the other hand, my life's so incredibly normal and boring that I have to make stuff up for writing (i.e. fiction as opposed to basing it on reality!). I had a look at your blog: VERY nice. You write well. Engaging and heartfelt. Good choice on today.com (might as well get paid, eh? hehe!). I have one there, too, as fulltimecare.today.com though it's less interesting so far, lol! Splendid work you're doing.

I think about it frequently. Get some fantastic ideas and start but never finish. Good on you for wanting to give it a go. Not sure I'd write about my life though. Although, I have to admit, I have had lots of experiences and some very funny ones as well. Probably would make for interesting reading. Not sure. But you go girl. All the best and Verry Merry Christmas to you and yours

Well to be honest I did consider writing a book on my experiences of life at one point in my life, but for that I need quite a lot of time for writing everything down and of course some quality time with myself for gathering all my thoughts and emotions in some particular situation. It's great to know that you are going ahead with that idea, wish you best of luck and though I am a guy, I would still like to read your book to know things from different perspectives ;)

I never thought of writing any book but one thing is for sure that I love reading books. It is always good to share your experiences and so I would give you full encouragement to start on with the good work. Sooner or later you will be able to finish the same and people will enjoy it.

Ever since I was a lot younger I always thought about writing novels. So yeah I want to write something to be proud of. Something that everyone wants to read. So blogging is my way of writing for the while. But I will publish maybe an ebook or something.

I am in the process of riting one right now but I keep on losing my momentum. It feels as though that It's not meant to be written. I enjoy writing fiction and I am not sure if I will be going into writing non-fictional books.

I would love to write a book in the future. However, they may be a long way into the future. From what I can think of now, I will need to gather more experience about a subject before I can have enough content to complete the book. Else I may start with an E-Book which may be a starting point.

I have similar urge to write book. My experience is relatively multiple, from a teacher to an interpreter, and an executive secretary. I worked in several places, and companies, and had a number of bosses, Chinese and foreigners, engaged in technical, commercial, legal, etc. I visited quite some countries, mostly during business trips. From time to time, the scene still comes back to remind me of the gradual progress, as well as naive mistakes I made all along my career. For sure, I will check out your profile to share with you your thoughts and inspirations.
