How old were your kids when they stated sleeping through the nights?

I have two kids, and they both started sleeping through the nights at different times. My daughter was about 6-weeks old when she did it. Figures, she does it around the time that mommy has to go back to work. LOL My son took a little longer. At his 9 or 12 month checkup, we were talking to the doctor that we had to stop putting him to bed with a bottle, or giving him one at night. We took his advice, and eventually he slept throughout the night. It took a few days for everyone to adjust, but we did. Not only did he start sleeping through the night, but he also stopped having a saturated diaper in the morning. I wasn't having to wash his sheets every few days. That's always a good thing.

My son started sleeping through the night when he was about 3 months old. It was pretty rough the first few weeks, but once I got into a routine, it wasn't so bad. I sometimes miss those times when he was so little, but it is also nice that he sleeps through the night.

I know, I miss the times when both of my kids were that little. They were both so sweet and innocent looking. What Happened?!?! lol I'm just glad that he's sleeping through the night, especially since there are some nights when I work late, and I definitely would not wnat to be dealing with a baby at 2 or 3 in the morning.

I honestly cannot remember with each of them. I know my first started around 6 months but he had very bad colic as a newborn. Then I twins and they were around 5 or 6 months old also. My last child, my daughter, didn't sleep through the night until she was about 1. I nursed and she loved it!!!!! Even if she wasn't hungry, I was her human pacifier. I was a pain then but I wouldn't change a thing now.

My first daughter started sleeping through the night within a few months... three I think. But my second daughter didn't sleep through the night until she was 3 years old! I learned that the reason for that is that we had painted her bedroom yellow. Yellow is an energizing colour, a bad colour for a bedroom. She was also colicky and wouldn't take afternoon naps. She was a real problem... wore pull-ups to bed until she was six. She is 12 now and sleeps very well.

Somehow I was lucky and my son started sleeping through the night at about four weeks old. At that time we hated him getting up early in the morning because we were on second shift. Somewhere along the line, two night owls ended up with a morning person. He gets up at about six thirty in the morning though I wish he would sleep in! Now I am pregnant and wondering about the next one and when he or she will sleep through the night...(and how tired I will be with Marcus who will almost be three when the baby is born and the late night interruptions!)
