hi,fairgrl! basically i'm also a fan of instant messaging..i keep touch with many of my friends through instant message rather than calling or letters. its more conveniete and cheap. i log in my MSN and QQ almost everyday to check whether there is any message left for me or not..also mostly i would like to chat with my family and friends that i am familiar with..for a strange request, i think that depends on the situation..if its about my bussiness, i will accept it,or i will refused..have a nice day and happy instant messaging!

hello there... well, currently i have windows live messenger and yahoo messenger... i've installed these two messengers just few months back... last time, i didn't install these two messengers because the computer loads slowly so i only use one and i seldom use it because i don't have online friends... now i got some friends in here so all my yahoo friends go to yahoo messenger and all my msn friends goes to windows live messenger list... it's really nice to have instant messaging and sometimes, it's important too...

hey there! I am also into instant messaging so much. I mean, when I am not at university and have to contact with my friends, I go through the msn instant messaging software, otherwise (if I don't have internet around me) I use text messaging or just calling them via gsm. As you can guess, using an instant messenger is free, so it is really appealing for me and many others. Thanks , and wish you a good day, happy mylotting and happy christmas :)

I have done the im but it seems there are a lot of perves out there. They always start messaging me about se! and so forth. I am not sure I always use yahoo, I have never used any other. I hope that someday we im without having to download the program because I am very weary about stuff like that. I only download what I know and trust, but then again I have downloading when I should not have. Anyway great post and I hope you get the answers you are looking for. Take care and Happy mylotting:)

Fairygrl, I am a member of MSN, Yahoo, ICQ and QQ (http://pc.qq.com) to be in touch with my friends around the world. I am using a software called "Trillian" to merge my accesses to MSN, Yahoo and ICQ. Trillian is a fully featured, stand-alone, skinnable chat client that supports AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo Messenger, and IRC. It provides capabilities not possible with original network clients, while supporting standard features such as audio chat, file transfers, group chats, chat rooms, buddy icons, multiple simultaneous connections to the same network, server-side contact importing, typing notification, direct connection (AIM), proxy support, encrypted messaging (AIM/ICQ), SMS support, tabbed chatting, system-tray notifications and alerts, and privacy settings. So instead of opening up the various chat software, I just simply use Trillian and I would be connected simultaneously. It is a handy tool indeed and I would encourage you to use it, have a look at http://www.download.com/Trillian/3000-2150_4-10047473.html?tag=mncol;pop It's free of charge and certainly beats the cumbersome processes. Happy mylotting and compliments of the season.

hi! I use instant message a lot. It's also part of my job, I work in a very big open-space office and it's always easier than making a call or going all the way to the other corner of the office, if you have something small to say. At work, we use MSN, but I'm also allowed to have any other messenger I want. So I use to keep Yahoo! messenger open as well. On Yahoo! messenger I have all my friends from highschool, most of my friends from college and also some (very few) people I don't know. I don't mind messaging to strangers. Nothing can happen if you don't meet them (and I'm not planning to) ... so... if I have some spare time, I am bored or simply I'm required to offer a small info, I do it gladly. I don't care if they're perverts or not, they're just windows on my screen. I don't treat them as if they'd be real life or anything. I forgot... I also play a MMORPG game, it's called Utopia, and I use both instant messengers (Yahoo and MSN) to communicate with my kingdom mates. We organise our attacks on others, our "waves", our strategies, etc... It's far better than using the in-game forums, because you get to exchange ideas much faster. Anyhow, I have both messengers on Auto-Login, so they're always open when I'm online.

Yooo Fairygrl! I love instant messaging. It's the way I stay connected to all of my friends. I only use AIM though. It's the messenger it seems like everybody uses. Yahoo Messenger has too many predators on it looking to chat with little kids. MSN is too outdated. I believe it was the first messenger ever? AIM just seems to suit me and my personality.
