How often do you check your e-mails?

There's nothing more frustrating than e-mailing your friend and then having to call him to remind him to check his mail! I mean it beats the purpose of the e-mail, doesn't it? I check my own e-mail at least twice a day, and possibly more. I have several e-mails though, and I don't check all of them frequently. How often do you check yours? Did you ever have to remind your friend to check his? Please share!

I check my emails a few times each day. As I am online most of the time I always watch out for new mails coming all throughout the day. All my work is online and that's how I get in touch with everyone. As for reminding a friend of an email I sent to him, I also follow up with a messenger message that I sent some important stuff to his email. But only if the email is about work and other important matters. For other emails like fun and other stuff, I just leave it to them how soon they can open it. Cheers!

The moment I get the opportunity, I check my e-mails and make it a point to reply to it even if I do not have enough time. If I am running short of time, I send a brief response, so that the fellow at the other end could know that I have read and understood his/her e-mail and will reply to it soon.

I check my emails all the time because I am always on my Computer, I get a lot of junk mail though. yesterday I was going through my email, most were Spam, so I took alot of those emails and put them in my spam, weell, guess what I put some of my mylot replys in Spam mail, I didn't mean to do that. Now I have to figure out how I can get it back to my regular email. Can yu tell me? I would appreciuate it if you do. Thank you in advance. Happy New Year to you!

What mail do you use? Yahoo mail gives the option of choosing 'not spam' once you choose a mail as spam by mistake. Perhaps there's an equivalent of that? Gotta ask a techie though. There's gotta be a way. Thanks for responding.

I have this one friend who I swear never checks their email. I've seen her check it once or twice at work before and she had just over 500 sitting in there unread. I always find myself reminding her to check her email whenever I send her something what I think is important. I wished she would check it more often though. have a good night and merry christmas

Over 500 e-mails? Now that would take a lot of time to read if she ever wanted to do that. Thanks for your reply.

Haha! Yeah, i mean what's the use of email when you need someome to remind him/her. I remember my mom because she's got a mobile phone but she don't bring it with her so it's useless to call or text her because she won't be checking it right away. About the email, i try to check emails like once a week. I got a lot of accounts and it kind of tiring to check them all then erase spams. I haven't reminded someone yet but i think i will soon.

Yes it's the same thing really with mobile phones. Did you know, you could check all your e-mails at the same time! That way it won't be as tiring. The software's called e-prompter and here's the link : http://www.eprompter.com/

Hi. I installed that eprompter but can't figure out how to list more than one email address on it. I can't access the help menu because I'm running vista. Can you tell me how its done? Thanks.

I check my e-mail at least 2 to 3 times a day. I have never had to remind any of my friends to check their e-mail. But I do have to remind myself from time to time to check my hotmail. Since I use windows mail through my internet provider. Which I love windows mail a lot better than my internet provider's e-mail on their website. Its hard to remember to check my other e-mail through msn though. But I do check that one at least once a day. I said all of that to say I check my e-mail through my internet provider more than I check my hotmail since I only use my hotmail account for friends.

This is very funny that you've to remind your friend to check the emails that you've sent. I don't know who is wrong here, but you could've talked the message on phone rather than referring him to email over the phone. This is very funny.. I don't really want to rephrase certain term specifically but this is really funny. don't send email to friends like that who is totally ignorant of what technology is.

I, too, check my email at least 2 or 3 times a day. I kind of have to or I end up with so much that it takes me forever to go through. To me email is like my cell phone...very to convenient to have when you need it but a big pain sometimes!

I have set my main gmail account to collect every email from my other email addresses. If I am seriously busy, then I check my emails 2 times a day - in the morning and before I go to sleep. Otherwise I have my gtalk turned on all the time, so I see the incoming messages on the spot, and check them if they're urgent or from friends.

I check my email everyday. Now that I am a member of mylot, more emails come in if I relate it with my friends' started discussion. Maybe I need a second though if I really need to correlation. I have been also curious on ebay deals. I did bought books on sites, but sold any yet. One day, I would try my store on sites like ebay to get rid of those stuffs I will not use any more. It must be fun.

I have to check it daily, yeah most of the times even several times a day. I get a lot of emails so once I checked them, in a few hours the inbox is full again :) I have to check them because I have to respond to some people, but honestly I would really like to get away from the laptop for a few days... My eyes are getting red again :) Im spending too much time on the internet.

Yes, I too am at a loss at the way I have to ask some of my friends on the telephone if they received my e-mail. I open my e-mails every day as I do the normal post. Like you, I thought that was the general idea of having e-mailing facilities. :-)Derek

I tend to leave both my work email and personal email constantly running in the background, so I can always do a quick respond, or if I'm waiting for an answer. Thank goodness my work let's us have the internet for personal items to do as well.
