I am of a habit to read something when I go to bed at night before I fall asleep. Its not the sleeping pill for me, but I guess I am habituated to the practice. Mostly I go through some magazines or novels. I was wondering whether any of you people are having the same habit. Please respond...

Yes. I love reading before bed. It's a soothing activity that prepares me for sleep I guess. I hate when I'm too tired to read before bed.

I read a lot, and reading before going to bed is when I do most of my reading. I always have books in a basket near my bedside. Reading in bed is one of my favorite pasttime. The only problem with such a habit is that I usually end up reading until the wee hours of the morning. Sometimes I would set a timer so that I will be forced to stop and get some sleep. But sometimes if the books is too good, I'll ignore the timer and keep reading. Then I will be red-eyed and sluggish the next day at work due to lack of sleep..LOL...oh well..

I usually read in my bed. Sometimes I fall asleep really fast, so I don't always manage to read more than a few pages, but I like reading in my bed before I go to sleep. I have done that for years,, so it has become a habit. If I am tired I sometimes read a magazine instead of a book, because then I don't have to concentrate too much. I like magazines with real life stories, and I usually keep a pile of magazines next to my bed.

I used to do that as far back as a year ago, reading the newspaper or a magazine next to my bed for about 20 minutes before I actually sleep. Nowadays, I spend so much time on my PC late into the night, that by the time I turn the PC off, it is already 1am or 2am in the morning. I am usually mentally tired by the time I lie down on the bed, so I tuck straight into bed without doing my usual reading like before.

I usually read before I go to bed, but not in bed. I don't like laying in bed reading. Once I lay down, I get too sleepy and cannot follow what is happening in the book. I also won't remember what I read the next day. So, I sit on the couch and read a bit before bed.
