Do you feel like they are always accurate? Are they reliable? I don't always believe them when it comes to snowstorms. :-)

I don't call them weather forcasters. I call them weather guessers. :)

I like that you think of them as weather guessers. I wonder how much they get paid.

We have one here that I can't stand. He does the stupidest things while giving the forecast. I like the rest of the news ppl, but I just can't stand him!!! He puts pics of ppl (some famous, some not) on the map to help him show where the storms are moving or the fronts are going to end up and it is just plain stupid, stupid, stupid! The other forecasters I do like, they are normal in telling what it will be like.

That is one strange forecaster. Must have had too much coffee while staying awake watching the weather. :-)

Well, that is one profession they get paid for being Wrong. The stations around here never have the same prediotion usually, so sometimes, you are not sure what to believe. I would Love to se better weather forcasts here in accuracy, but I have learned to also go with the flow.

Tornado - Tornado
Reliable! you must had added that word for a laugh. I appreciate that meteorology is a rather erratic science, because a high or low pressure area heading your way can change direction quite unpredictably and the weather wiil change accordingly. Still, with the vast resources at hand such as satellites and computer systems you would expect a little more accuracy than we sometimes get. It amazes me that they have the audacity to predict the weather several days ahead, while many people have no confidence in tomorrow's prediction.

Usually they are accurate here but not always when it comes to snow. One time they called for at least a foot of snow here and we ended up with just barely a few snowflakes. LOL

Ha...overpaid people. I go by this....if you go outside and it is raining, bring an umbrella. If it is snowing, bring a shovel.

I don't think the weather forecasters know for sure what's the weather is going to be like tomorrow, I think the just estimate it and sometimes it happens just like they say it would and other times it doesn't. It's not like they're gods and know it for sure, they're doing their best according to how it looks on the sky. I'm sure they use something esle, like rador to help them, also besides just looking into the sky.

They do a pretty good job for the most part and mother nature can always change so they can't predict that. When it snows they are pretty close to getting it right, except for one big storm we were supposed to get and it never happened and had everyone scratching their heads.
