I honestly dont like it when people use Gods name for everything now days. How do we know what God likes or does not like in every situation. The bible was writen by men not God so telling me its in the Bible its not telling me that God wanted it to be there. Why do we judge everyone and say but God wants it that way. If he wants it that way let him decide and judge. Who gave us the right to judge and use his name.

you right men did write the bible but these me was inspired by god to write the bible.iam not a judge but the bible was written for our instruction on how we should live our life.god gives us the right to use his words.

it is true that God gave us the right to use his words in order to preach God's teachings. God's teachings are all written in the bible and nowhere else. when we preach God's teachings, we are permitted to use the bible alone. no references and no inferences of our own. this is because, for the Lord God, the bible is complete in itself. that is, if we are talking about God's will for men and in our quest to find the right path to spiritual/divine salvation.
so please, everyone, let us stop using God's name as a form of needless expression. His name is holy and sacred and must be uttered with due respect at all times.

Exacly "the bible was written for our instruction on how we should live our life" not how other people should live their lifes. If someone does not follow what God sais then its between that person and God not between me and that person.

god has many names god is just a title but his name is jehovah god,have you seen anyone using this expression.

If you read the bible Violeta you will see that GOD give his disciples every power. The only thing that he says we should do is to leave all judgement to him. So why are you complaining. If you are doing something which is wrong and a persons know the bible it is up to him to explain to you what is wrong.
Please remember that the bible tells you that you fight not against flesh and blood but spiritual wickedness and principalities. Yes the bible was written by man but it is God words and ways. A person who is living sorely for Jesus will know if there is something wrong in the bible and so far NO one has acknowledge it in the Christian Faith. It is always the unbeliever who is attacking the bible. If you read the bible you will see that for generations people will attack the bible, Jesus and God. But the Holy Spirit is leave alone because they know that if they ever blasphemy against it there is no redemption. So my friend stop fighting things you cannot change and study your bible so that blessing and prosperity comes for you in 2009

As far as I know God gave us more than just 1 rule they were 10. If you look around mylot you will see that people use his name to justify their coments everyday. where in the bible does it say that all disabled kids are born because God is punishing the mother. It is things like this that I have problems with. And as far as my bible goes I know what every Orthodox christian should know.

What are you going on about first of all if you dont get what I am saying then ask dont preach to me I dont want to change anything I want people to stop using the name of God for everything they do and say because that is not right. I have nothing agains the bible I have issues of how people use the bible on MYLOT.

There are more than 10 rules in the bible go and read your bible. Every scripture has a rule in it. You are talking about the 10 commandments but there are more rules than the 10 commandments. I will again implore you please to read your bible.

you are right, violeta. we should not mention God's name without any good reason for doing so. God's name is never permitted to become a mere expression. it is showing an utter disrespect for Him. the religious call this act as blasphemy.
i know that there is a line in the bible that forbids this act to be committed by anyone. it is sad though that i cannot remember it so i cannot give a quote in here. but it is something to the effect of 'do not utter God's name without purpose'. as i have said before, this is not how it is written in the bible. this is what it conveys to us.

Me too, I hate people use God's name for everything now days. The tactical way for them to lure for some needs or expectation. When we talk about God, what ever we imagine about God, means that is not God. My opinion anyway and I believe it really works for me in that such way of my belief. god has no similarity or its kinda.
Judgment made is a human system, actually. Where, it is vulnerable to changes or amendments to suits the current life situation. Actually, no need for anyone to use God's name BUT better talk about the benefits of the given life systems. Define it very well in a perfect understanding and rule the implementation to fully utilize the beneficence.

They base more on their TRANSLATION works to those rites and not working on INTERPRETATION. That is why they have to show off that sentences and to strengthen it they use God's name. Just like folky sayings;
"Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll be among the stars."

I have seen few things on my lot that have really steped on my nerve. People having oppinion is fine by me but just because they put Gods name in it they think its ok. And How do they know thats what God wants, well they show us something from the bible which has nothing to do with it its just how they have undertood the line.
