I Am Missing The Green, Green Grass Of Home

It has been a few weeks since I have arrived from the farm. Already, I am missing the work that I have been doing - caring for the plants, weeding out grasses and taking care of some animals. As I wake up each morning, instinctively, i go out of the apartment to see some greens still looking fresh but needs some watering. I am now considering buying some three to five pots so I can grow some ornamental plants at the front. Do you also encounter the same difficulty as I do right now? It is not that easy to grow plants if we are only renting an apartment with not much space at the from and back of the unit. How do you suppose would I go about it? Give me some ideas doable relative to our present condition.

I don't have a green thumb. But the pots seem like a nice idea. It would still give you greenery to care for. Which is always a good idea. Good luck with it. I wish I had this talent.

you can always try, ersmommy. remember that there will always be a first time for everything. you will find that it feels good to see some grass grow in the pot. just plant grass if you fear that a plant will not grow healthy under your care. remember that the grass, the common grass that we weed out, is so stubborn it refuses to die for as long as it is watered and there is soil that sustains it.

though we own the house that we live in, but its on the main road and ther's no place in front or back, only on terrace i have some pots, where i have planted some ornamental and some roses etc. I also feel the greenary lacking sometimes, but cant do much for it.

that is what i am planning to have also, some potted plants so i can have some greens at least. life feels so drab without any real live green around.

Find a plant that is native to the environment you left, and nourish it as a reminder of what you love. That way you can bring a little bit of your life with you always. It is always difficult to leave where we felt safe and comfortable to explore a new place, people, and life. Embrace your past as you look forward to your future, and you will be delighted to see how much you accomplish in life.
