me,at first i want to take nurse as a course but when i am starting to take it..i experience many hardships and as the time goes by,i feel that i want to give up that course. I think that i just take that course because it is in demand in other countries and it is also the choice of my parents. I find it hard because i discover that this is not my interest,,..this is not what i really want..whoo..my parents wont let me to shift to another course..i dont have any choice but to continue this..how about you..do you like the course that you take or it is just only the choice of your parents for you?

i like my course that i took. i already graduated last 2006. my course is computer engineering. and i am the one who chose it, not my parents' decision. it is also my own choice and i definitely did not regret it because now, i am in japan already working. i was able to work here because our company sent me to do some training. all i can say my friend is that, you must love the things you do in life. for example, in your situation, since, you chose that kind of course, you must take responsiblity in choosing it, not because its in demand or your friends are majority take up this course or your parents wants this...and also, there is no course that is easy, all are hard, exhausting, takes a lot of patience to learn. it is just up to you if you are willing to learn the hard way, that you always complain that you don't like the course you took because you realized that it was a difficult one at a later time, or you just have to do your best to learn, and embrace new things in your life. but then again, as like you said, you no longer like your course, its up to you, but in times like nowadays, its a waste of money to shift another course.

I totally agree with the last part about work hard because you've chosen to learn it and every course is hard... I just need time to get used to the difficult part.

yes..super, though when I was still adjusting for my course I find really challenging especially when my teacher asks us to program a certain situation. As of now I am in the middle of doing a website for our sales and inventory system, as a requirement in my course.By the way, I am taking up Bachelor of Science in Information Management

I really like the course that i have taken and it has been my ambition to take that course and my course is Physiotherapy and even though it doesnt have any scope over here in south India i have heard it has some really nice scopes in north India and other parts of the world and i suppose nursing is one of the best courses in the world and it has great demands across the world and i think if you dont like it you cant really survive in the course and i suppose that you will have to take intrest in that course soon..all the best... Happy Mylotting..

Hello grace24. When I was in college my course was AB International Studies major in peace and development that wasn't my first choice. My first choice was Fine Arts but, since my school didnt have that course, I decided to choose another one. Then, I chose Computer Science because I like learning about computers, but when I found out that there were a lot of math subjects there, I decided to choose another one. Then, I saw the course AB International Studies. I asked my dad what is the course about, he said its all about politics and government and learning about foreign languages. At the thought of foreign languages, I immediately said yes. Now, that Ive already graduated, I thought that I didnt like my course that much because Im not really into politics.

i finished the course that i dont really like. i had to take the course because there are only few courses to choose under the scholarship program of our school at that time. so i ahve no choice but to stick with the alternate plan. but i was able to finish the course that i really like and love most and but you know the job that pays me more is the all about the course that i took first. so no regrets!

I'm pretty cool with my course. It's a business course and sometimes i do worry that it's an evergreen course that every other person would be just as qualified when it comes to the working world. i know what you mean when you find it hard. I was initially taking a building course for my diploma and i struggled with it. But i forced myself to complete that 3 years and change my majors for my uni. All the best for your nursing course, it's not easy. But think it in another light. It is a niche course where hospitals would need you. And you save lives. =)

I wanted to take electronics engineering but landed up with Electrical because of my rank...Anyway after few classes I have discovered that I am enjoying the subject and I have no problem now...I am quite happy with his course..You should make your parents understand logically because it will difficult to succeed in a field you don't have interest in...My parents had given me complete independence to choose course of my choice...

Well, sometimes i feel like that sometimes i done. In highschool i took bio, chem, phys n i soooo didnt want to take physics. i ended up scraping it with a C. n rihgt now my passtion is chemistry. I'd like to change to marine biology but like idk. I'd have to sign up for a whole new course and so we'll have to see. As for my parents, Well they want whats best for their children and so would push them to the thing that they think will give them the most good. They are doing it for good reasons and good nature but it isnt always what they want.

I'm having exact the same feeling! I like fashion design, but my parents would never let me to jump into it...So let's see I'm gonna take either business or interior design as they wish. I know they care for my future. Well, it's just not my interest too. Right now I'm still struggling about this problem. About nurse my mom wanted me to take it too, but it's never in my thought, never! I hate biology so much! And they need it in order to get into that course. Whatever... so I never think about nurse. Right now I'm sending applications. I hope I can get the interior design course. Good luck for your nurse course! Because you've taken it, so just study as hard as you can. I know there are lots of people in this world are doing the job they aren't interest about. So maybe we can transfer or find a faculty which both please parents and satisfy us!!!!!!!!!!!
