I'm so happy that our laptop broke

My fiance and I have had to share the desktop computer that is his parent's. We were waiting to see if our laptop could be salvaged, and while it can not be I am happy that it broke. I guess while it might be odd to some that I am happy, to others it will be clear. My fiance's mom actually told us just before it broke that laptops were not the best things anyway as they tend to need repair a lot (she found this out from people she babysits for). I know that that means our money making has been cut down, but I am happy that we do not have the added stress of constantly trying to make more money (not in competition). So has anything strange made you happy lately?

Sometimes it isourselves that create more demands and more financial demands and this in return creates more financial stress for us. I am glad that you are out of the rat race. Sometimes the more we live simple life the better it is.

I've had a soar throat and have not been feeling well for the past days (since the 25th) - my boyfriend came over to visit the other day and left yesterday (he lives in another city), and I was sick when he came and I was afraid that he'd get bored in his visit because I couldn't bring him out or entertain him well - but I was later kinda happy that I was sick because it gave me the excuse to just sit quietly beside him and act stupid and stuff :D When he left, he said that he actually enjoyed the visit :D Thanks for the comment on my discussion!

It's nice to enjoy a person's company without having to say much at all. I'm sorry you were sick but I hope you feel better!
