How do you manage?

How do those of you who get thirty or more responses manage to respond to them all? Or go through them to give out best responses? Do you respond as you receive responses or reply to them all at once?

This is the very reason for which I do not start many discussions. I want to be able to go back and comment to ALL those who take time and effort to respond and unless I know I will be able to stay on my computer for several consecutive hours I would not be able to do so. I have some older discussion with many responses and I even go back later and reply (which also brings the discussion back to life and get more responses too ). I have several where I still have to choose the best response but on topics that have no expiry date then I leave them for quite a long while before doing so unless a particular response immediately strikes me as worthy.

I think I should learn from your experience and not start as many discussions as I have been lately. I think that is a great and plausible reason not to start many discussions and to manage replying to all the responses you might possibly receive. I have a ton that I need to choose the best responses but on some there are just too many good responses to choose from that I leave it to think about then forget. Well, have a great New Year, and best wishes!

I usually stays with those response as quickly as possible to tell them that I appreciate the time they spend in dropping by in my discussion. This happened only in a few occasions and it's another reason why I open several tabs in myLot so I can check from time to time if there are replies in my discussion. And I reply immediately once I get the notification in my inbox or just keep on refreshing the discussion page itself. Unless, there are replies that were made after I sign out but when I log in the following day, this is what I check first.

I also open several tabs when I am on mylot. It can take a while to load my response or a discussion so I check others while I am waiting. I multi-task within mylot! I also try to thank people as soon as I can but lately I have not been doing such a great job.

Yes, I think responding to multiple discussions and responses is a good thing. With more and more people joining everyday, mylot can be a bit slow sometimes. This way, we can still respond to all our discussions (or as many as possible) in the same amount of time.

Hi there snam23! Each time I start a discussion, I make sure that I read each and every response I get. I believe I owe that to the people who took time to respond. I may not be able to comment on them all but I try my very best to do so. There are times when I would comment each time I receive a new response. There are also instances when I would comment to them only when I get to have spare time to do so.

I also read all the responses I get as well, except I read them as I receive them as email notifications and again when I am responding to them. I think it is good to see people putting forth a lot of effort to try to respond to everyone's responses. I also sometimes do not reply straightaway, but wait a while until I have free time.

Hello snam23, i make a combination of the responses Nr. 1 & 2 :-) Usually i wait some hours to see if the discussion is running well. After 10 responses or after no one comments for 1 hour i will step in and make a comment on their response. Sometimes it's better to wait some days because when you get some new friends in this time, they could respond to your discussion as well, when you comment later ;-) Have a good time in myLot!

That is a very interesting way to approach responding to discussions. That makes sense that sometimes it is better to wait, but other times it is better to thank and respond to them as soon as you can.
