Two way you can do that 1. take backup and repartition harddisk 2. use partition manager utility paragon disk manager or partition manager to create new partition using avialable space on harddisk. in second case you can partition disk without deleting data, but still i recommend to take backup.

If you already have an operating system installed on this hard drive you can make more partitions with the utility which comes in built with the operating system. If you are an experienced system user i would recommend tool called "fdisk". IF this hard drive is without any OS installed use a easy to use GUI tool called partition magic. Take care.

hello alipastm.... ^_^ Remember this in partitioning a hard drive.... Hard Drive has two parts..... First is the Primary and the other is the Secondary or Extended or Logical (lets call it Extended)..... This is for Windows only.... In the Primary the maximum partitions is only 4..... In the Extended is more than 4 as many as you like..... The windows system can only be installed on the primary..... Hence the primary is only up to 4 partitions only because it is only for booting or for making another OS (ex. Linux OS installation)..... Because windows boot managers is with the OS system so basically the whole installation is only on one partition and that will be "c:" drive.... Usually a whole "Windows only applications", is from 20 to 40 gigs is fine, less of the applications like Adobe photoshop, ms office. and so on like big softwares installation..... On the extended..... You can generate here more than 4 partitions..... But the extended are not bootable only on Windows..... (In Linux these can be bootable).... In Windows these partition can have those logical drives (i.e. drive "d:", "e:",--- "z:", and so on)..... for more question just ask....... ^_^

You really shouldn't mess with partitioning your hard drive unless you know what you're doing. If you know someone who has the right amount of knowledge in this area you should probably ask him/her to do it for you instead of risking screwing somehing up.

You can use Partition Magic to do all the necessary things you want, but before you break existing partition, please do back up it.
