A lot of mylotters work from home. Are you able to earn enough to pay the internet bill atleast. From what I have been earning till now here in India I would not have been able to pay my internet bill if I had a computer at home. Just now I log on to mylot only from the Office. But I manage to spend a few hours online everyday. What about you??

Same here Mayka. I am also mylotting from office but I plan to get an internet at home coz I miss mylot terribly on weekends and holidays. However, I would have to pay for that from my own pocket. Even I don’t know of any online sites in India that has good and steady payment. Even mylot is an American site and to get money from them thru paypal, you would have to verify and then request for transfer and many other hassles and they don’t accept all Indian banks, either. In this age of IT progress and specially when India is not lagging behind, I so wish there were more online earning opportunities in India.

Sudipta! I also wish that there should be more on-line earning opportunity through some real Indian sites. May our wish come out true in the coming year(s)!!

I was at one time planning to buy a computer at home and try to earn from home. That was before I got a job. But I realized that there are hardly any opportunities to earn from home. Now I use the internet only from office because I get to use the net for a couple of hours everyday. I have four times got my payment from mylot to my paypal account. Two payments have also come from another site. Getting payment from paypal to an Indian account was not at all a problem for me. We need to verify our account mainly when we want to use the paypal account for purchasing anything online and have to transfer money from our bank into paypal. For receiving money I have not verified my paypal account and have twice transferred money from paypal into my savings account. I have not used my credit card account for this purpose. Paypal takes Rs 50 for every transaction of transferring money into our bank account.

i also spend some time online at mylot and other sites. i think it is possible to do more on the internet but it all requires the correct support and direction. some months back i thought that all sites are scam until i reached my first site that paid. its all about getting a guiding friend online who could give the right direction.

For me, if I will sum up all my online earnings for the month fro different websites It will be enough to my my internet bills for the month but my hubby is good, he is not letting me use my earnings to pay any bills we have at home. he paid it all. I am not working outside home so my earnings solely depends on my online earnings. Not much every month but I have enough to buy what I want. I am glad that we can earn from online.

Not using the earnings that you get is good but atleast you are able to make enough to cover up the expenses. Here in India I have not found sufficient sites where I could earn enough to pay my internet bills let alone my electricity and anything extra.

Hi dear, As you know that I am not working from home. But once I tried to quit my job and work from home so that I can look after my kids well. But I could not find a tangible site so I gave up that idea. If I can earn a handsome amount then only it can meet the expenses like internet and electricity. I think it is very difficult to find a good site which can provide a good income by meeting all these expenses and then make a profit also. Let us wait, if anybody can give a positive reply.

I dont think I would be able to even pay my internet expenses with the amount I am able to make now. There are hardly any sites that pay good and on time. I have not got a single positive reply where anyone is earning more than 25 dollars every month!

Yes, I probably would be able to pay my internet bill, but that would all I would be able to pay. I'm glad that I get free internet at home through my full time job. That is a good thing.

I don't think making online money is not very difficult. At the same time, it is not easy. It needs some tricks. Last year I could make nearly $300 online. Of which 6 months I was away from my PC (When I came back I made $25 in the last week of Dec. 2008) Average = 300 / 6 months = $50 per month, which is very much enough to pay the internet bills. (I could even buy a bicycle for my son with the extra money) I am planning to make it bit high this year.

There are very few sites where we actually get the payment. I have tried a few but have not been too successful. Can you PM me the sites from which you have received payment.

You know Mayka it’s the same for me. Online earning opportunities in India are not yet developed to their full potential. Me too working at office and earning peanuts on the internet…I mylot mainly for the fun of it, otherwise ten dollars will be like five hundred rupees which would hardly get me anything worthwhile. And then there’s the big problem of actually getting the cash in your bank….paypal does not support most Indian banks and even the banks it does, you have to have credit or debit card and I have neither. So the money is just there, I have bough a few things on the net just to pamper myself and that’s it. Maybe when I am older and wouldn’t be able to work anymore, we would have more earning options thru the net, here in India.

I agree that online earning opportunities in India are not yet developed that the amount that we get here are like peanuts. I have an account with Indian Bank and am able to transfer the paypal amount into my bank without any credit or debit card. We only have to give a four digit code to paypal that is on our cheque book. We do not need a card for that. Paypal is able to transfer the money to most nationalised Indian banks. Try it and let me know if you have any problem. May be I could help you as I have already transferred money a couple of times without a card.

if you are only sticking to mylot then it won't give you good income but you are trying some other sites surely you would be making more than your internet bill.

I am on a couple of other sites too but I think I have not found the right ones as yet where we could be getting a decent income. Everyone seems to be making false claims of earning a big amount just to get referrals. For this reason we are not able to figure out which are the genuine sites where we can earn more.

Between my partner and myself, we earn enough to pay for the internet, home phones and mobiles and the webhosting bills for the websites we run. We even earn enough to buy the things we wouldn't otherwise be able to afford and have paid for 3 new laptop computers in the last 10 months, which means we are better able to support our computer generated income. Now, my partner doesn't have an official job, he is a free lance writer for several websites. His earning just adds to what we get from our government (Australia) to study from home and raise our children. It does mean though that life is a bit more comfortable and I can keep up with the shopping demands of growing kids.

Being able to pay for three laptop computer in ten months is indeed good. Any tips for earning more on the net. My income does not even let me pay for my internet bill.

I cannot make enough working from home on the computer to pay my monthly bills. I worked for years outside the home. I have not found anything on the internet that will pay me as well. I am still searching and learning about more pay sites, so far it is not going too good. I am working from home not by choice, the company I worked for closed so I am doing whatever I can to make ends meet.

Have you found any sites now that pay you enough to think of just working from home without any compromises on income?

I thought I could manage a good part of my college expenses by working from home but I hardly make $10 a month, that too spending 2-3 hours a day at it. We should start working smart instead of just working hard.

First of all I don't depend op the earning from home for my livelihood. And no one can become self sufficient with earning from home alone. It can be an additional income only.Earning money and becoming rich is not that easy I think.

As my internet bill is only about $15 per month, and so far I have earned more than $15 per month in those making money online sites, so it's enough to pay for my internet bill. But, I don't think it's enough for my living expenses, it's far behind my actual earnings from my daily job. Earning money online can only be my part-time job, or I should say casual job.

Normally I am on the internet 3-4 hours a day trying to make money online. Lately I have been spending most of the day here, I am on short term disability. I have been earning enough to at least pay my internet bill and a little more. I make any where from $100-$200 a month. I am hoping that in 2009 I will increase or double that. These past 2 months that I have been home, I made more than I normally do and some of that went to internet shopping.

I am from India too.I work from home.I agree with you ,the earnings from mylot is not enough to pay for the internet usage and what about the electricity bill too.I just do it to pass my time when you look at the earnings its really not worth it.I wish these people would hike the earnings.I feel quite guilty at times that I am actually wasting money by logging on to this site.If one logs on from the office its okay.
