About 80 million Americans go on diets every year, spending more than $30 billion annually on programs and products. There are so many diets to choose from. Which ones do you think work, or have worked for you before?

Ah, diets don't work for me. However, I am trying again to loose weight. I need to do mor exercise. That seems to work. Last year I was walking the dog a lot and my wife commented that I'd lost most of my belly. I should take up the walking thing again, but I've had heel problems since then. This slightly limits how much I can walk the dog.

Well, since I am a Diabetic I have to watch what type of Diet I can go on if any, but I can learn to eat more healthier and walk more to loose weight in 2009. Actually I am going to make this one of my Goals, and going to try to get my husband to do the same thing. We both need to loose a little bit of weight and if we can do it together it can be a lot easier for sure. He has done the Slim Fast before, and actually had some Great success with it as well, so I might get him to think of trying that again.

Yes. I am not so sure about the diet but I do plan to exercise more and lose weight. I think exercise is the key to losing weight, no matter what you eat.

I don't do New Years Resolutions. I never stick to them anyway.

Losing weight is so hard! My weight's been up and down again and again, all my life. That's resulted in some health problems I'd rather not have. I'm the heaviest I've ever been right now, and I'm more than upset about it. My plan is to concentrate on the exercise even more than the diet, and try, try, try to keep it off this time. I say hello to my thin clothes now and then. I want to get back into them! Almost every diet works. Sticking to it and keeping the loss are the hard part. It seems that one of the most effective things for any diet is keeping a diary of everything that you eat or drink and all the exercise you get, so that you can be proud or disappointed, and make whatever adjustments are necessary.
