My son has done had two eye surgery's and i want to put my foot down to anything unless i know it will help him for sure. He has had drainage from his right eye since he was around 7 months old. It looks like he is always crying. Then we he goes to sleep it gets all mucousy and closes up. I have to clean it with a warm cloth or wait a few minutes for him to open it on his own. I have no idea what more to do. The doctor said it was a clogged tear duct. So his first surgery was a tear duct probe. Didn't help! So second surgery was repeated tear duct probe with a tube placed to help it drain. It was still always tearing the whole three months the tube was in place. The doctor said it was normal. So the tube was removed two weeks ago and its back to the same way it was a year ago. I have no idea what to do. I don't know my options. I don't know if he will outgrow this. Anyone been through this? What should i do? Should i just wait and see if he will outgrow it. I fear for his vision. I dont want him to suffer any vision loss.

I think that you need to find the best specialist in the area and take your son to see him/her. You can get referrals from a children's hospital if you have one in your area. I don't know if this condition will damage your son's vision or not...or whether it's safe to wait...but I do know that, if you're not getting results, you should get a second opinion and, if you're going to do that, you might as well get it from the very best. Good luck.

Unfortunately my son is already seeing the best eye specialist in the area. I don't know anyone else and the doctor will only refer me to some place that my insurance will cover. Thanks though.

I hope, Homoeopathy may make some successful results. I'm not a doctor of this system of medicine, but I have come across some examples of cancellation of mesurgery in some cases with other problems those started to use homoeopathic medicine. You may please try for this system of medicine from a good Homoeopathic Doctor. Thanks and wish youe son an early recovery!
