Why some people could not follow simple instruction? It is clear in mylot guidelines not to put a link in a discussion that is not related to the topic but why are some people so hard to understand that? They are just spoiling my fun when my discussion will be deleted because some people are hard headed. I don't want to be rude but I just wish they will understand the feelings of others when their discussions were deleted because of other people's fault. What about you? are you so considerate with these people who do not know how to follow the guidelines? They really make me feel bad.

I had someone do that to me on one of my discussions the other day. No response..just a link for shoes or something.I had a lot of responses on that discussion too and it will probably get deleted. One of my friends messaged me...mad as a hornet and told me they reported it and I should do the same. That you need three reports to have it removed from your thread and that by doing that I might have a chance to save it. It was removed within a couple of hours from my report and the discussion is still up so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.I have never reported any response as I appriciate them all, good and bad,but if they with no consideration, break the rules and threaten your discussion...I say do it. If they are not going to read the guidelines then they will have to learn another way.We go by the rules. They should too.

that's cuz people think that "guidelines" at the bottom of the page are the wires that hold myLot up. nobody takes the time to read the do's and don't's........they just come blazing in here thinking there's no rules.

yes, that upset the people who are following the rules because they are also affected when the violators are punish.. So, what do you think is the best thing to do with these people? They are all here participating but do not know how to do the right thing? shall we scold them?

If the whole discussion is deleted then this means someone reported the whole discussion. people supposed to pay attention when they report anyone. they supposed to hit report button at the response, if the response is the one that is against guidelines, not the whole discussion. I had some people responding to my discussion saying "hi" and nothing else. So I went to his response and hit report button there and only his response was deleted not the entire discussion. I don't create discussion for someone to say Hello or Hi and nothing else, where is the discussion in that?

I don't think they can check everything, maybe a few but not all because some people may have reported what needs to be reported but some just did it because they are trolls, thats how some discussions are gone and nobody has a clue as to why since they have read TOS and nothing there says anything against their deleted discussions

Oh really? you mean the mylot staff will not check the discussion that was reported if it is really necessary to delete the whole discussion? It is unfair if the owner of the discussion did not violate only the responder and all who are involve are affected. But anyway, I did not report anybody yet because I do not know where is the REPORT button. LOL..I'll try to look at it in the response area. thanks for this,

I like you also feel bad for those who doesn't like to follow rules or guidelines. Rules and guidelines are put into place to be followed and not to be taken for granted for. We always have to bear in mind that not following the rules means that we have to pay for our actions and its okay if we do not harm others due to our being irresponsible but when other people are affected it is so unfair and it is not right.

I agree with you my friend. It should be them only not the rest of those who are innocent. But somebody said you can report the individual and his response only will be deleted not the whole thing. I should do that next time.

hello friend, that would be the best thing to do, reporting the culprit so that the rest will not be affected. Just imagine how much effort and time hat you have invested on that discussion and all will go into nothing because of someone else have been doing. I too would really be pissed off just like what you have feel. fortunately i haven't experience that thing yet. Thanks for sharing your experience. I know everyone will learn from this and be extra careful and be vigilant whenever something like this happens. Happy Mylotting!!!

I agree with.. irrelevant respond to a topic is not a great idea.. well, it is not right to consider them as always.. they need to learn and must practice rules.

No, not all the time patience. These people should know how to do the right thing. They should be taught. If we keep on giving considerations to them, they will nto learn and they keep on repeating the same mistake.

I have never had anyone put an unrelated link on any of my discussions so far. I hope your discussion won't be deleted. Maybe they would only delete that response.

I think that persons does this because there is no moderators here in MYLOT. I am so sorry that this happen to you Bebs, but if MYLOT will give person the option to deleted unwanted responses such as those then deleting discussions it will not be so hurtful. I have seen about five of my responses be deleted along with a discussions but such is life it is a nuisance here on line as it is offline.

I think you are right!! I just wish mylot will soon have moderators to guide the users. I had experienced some violations on the other site I was in but since they have moderators, I was directed to do the right thing. But I think it is not that hard here in mylot to follow instructions if members will just read read the guidelines. the problem is most are lazy reading. Like one of my friends here. She is new and keep on asking what to do when I told her to read the guidelines and FAQ, she just said, she has no time, just asking is easier than reading all of those lengthy TOS.. my goodness!!! that is why many do not know what is the right thing to do.

You mean you already experienced having a deleted discussion because someone else put a link which violates the rule? I think that is not fair! I mean, perhaps myLot should delete only the response of that user and not the entire discussion. It is not your fault anyway so why suffer for somebody else's irresponsibility! I think everyone here must read the guidelines first. I know so many who have not and this is the reason why they are committing violations and sometimes at the expense of others. I hate irresponsible people so I will never be considerate to them.

Well, I am always a victim of this where I responded to a discussion where some other responders put a link on it and it gets deleted and I was affected? my points went down and sometimes my earnings too. But now I know how to report that only the responder will be deleted not the whole discussion.

For me I won't mind if somebody is putting anything like links in their response to my discussions as long as it doesn't affect me and my earnings. However, if it causes some complications and worst wooooould make my discussions being deleted then that's another story. I would probably send texts and response to those who do such and tell them to stop it and that am not happy w/ that. One thing is that it violates one's privacy.

It will surely affects our discussion when somebody put link on it that is not related to the topic. Much more if it is a referral link. I remember one time when you said your number of posts had decreased? the probable reason was you responded to a topic where some respondents posted referral links on it. You never noticed it because of so many respondents in a topic. I am a victim of that many times already. That is why when I started a discussion and people responded it posting referral links? I felt bad.. like this thread? I'm not sure if this will not be deleted.

Hey bebs! If someone put a link in my discussion I would be furious! There is no reason for someone to do that! It is well known that this a definite infraction of mylot rules and can definitely get a discussion deleted. If someone wants to add a link to a discussion it sure better be their own! If I ever caught someone doing it in my discussion I would report them for abuse immediatley. Why should they cause my discussion to get deleted? After all I am not the one that is breaking the rules!

I just don;t understand why our discussion would be the one deleted? why not the respond only that has the link? It might be good if the one who put the link would be the only one who suffer the consequence but the problem is that all that are involved in that discussion will be affected. That's the thing that pissed me when someone do that to any discussion that I am involve specially if it is mine.

well if you ask me then putting a link isn't that bad unless it not related to the topic that is been discussing. sometimes for reference people leave a link to refer if someone wants to know abt that topic. otherwise its just another stupid thing to do that.if my lot delets such kind of disscussions where there is any attached link then its not the starters fault. so accoring to me the user who puts the should justify to my lot. or my lot must ask explanation to the user who has put the link in.today in a disscussion i gave the name of two sites because the person wanted some help regarding that . so, i don't know whether that discussion will be banned by my lot or not. but i hope when someone seeks help like that and someone provides it. then there is nothing for my lot to interfere in that .

It is not against the guidelines if the link is related to the topic but if somebody just put the link for referral and that link doesn't do anything with the topic? that is a violation. These people who are doing this should know.
