http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1179891/ they are remaking the old horror movie my bloody valentine and this time they are releasing some in 3D (where its able to be seen that is) my question is was it a good movie to begin with? i dont know if i can get into a horror movie where a murderer is wear a gas mask type thing lol.. and it seems like when movies do anything in 3d they usually are bad and just hope the special affects win you over since the plot is weak.. what do you think??

I don't know, I never saw the movie. But in my experience having 3-D in a movie has been a waste. Case and point, JAWS 3-D. It was terrible. So I will pass.

I am a sucker for Horror movies (you should see my dvd collection) so I am really looking forward to this. I'd also really like to see it in 3D because I've never seen anything in 3D before but my parents rave about it. ;) My only problem is finding somewhere around here that can play 3D movies....

I have also seen some remakes that were better than the original. I personally liked The Hills Have Eyes remake better. And Texas Chainsaw Massacre too. Also, some remakes may not be exactly better but they are usually different and can be good.

Every few years there is a fad, and 3-D is coming back. There have been a few kids movies released as of late, as well as some rides at amusement parks and such. My boyfriend and I just laugh and comment when we see yet another 3-D coming out... or 4-D sometimes they say LOL. I have not seen the first version of this movie, but this new version just looks typical and lame, and like it will just have a bunch of topless women running around scared. Pretty standard I guess. : /

Might be a little scary but I think it will probably be pretty horrible, with horrible acting, and not much to the plot.

I saw the old version a long time ago and I liked it. I saw it again and it is pretty cheesy, basic storyline. Old movie is a lot better than a lot of the other movies in that genre. As for the new version, I wouldn't mind going to check it out.I wasn't that all impressed with all the remakes, or 're-tellings' of the recent movies, though. And since I'm a fan of the movie I'll check it out. I don't know where the 3D version is playing.

Now, why would they want to make a horror movie into a 3D one? I can never understand that. Maybe it is the reason you mentioned. It would have been better if they made movies like Star Wars or Star Trek into 3D instead. That would have been a better choice in my opinion. Or King Kong where you can be caught in the middle of the battle of the beasts. Or some adventure movie like Jurassic Park or something. My bloody valentine? What special effects would that movie have? A larger than life knife coming towards you from the screen? Sheez~~~! The only reason why I thing this movie was picked to be remade is because it has little effects required. So re-doing some of the scenes into 3D would be cheaper as compared to the few movies I mentioned.

I think that I wouldn't mind going to the theaters and seeing My Bloody Valentine in 3D. It's from the writers of the Saw series and that's one of my favorite movie series ever. The effects do look like they are pretty cool and it looks like a better 3D movie then I've ever seen before. I'll probably definitely see it when it comes out.
