Mike Shanahan Fired

I am shocked as I'm sitting here reading that Mike Shanahan has been fired as head coach of the Denver Broncos. This is an era where coaches average two seasons and this guy has been at the helm for 14 seasons! Yes they blew a three game lead with three weeks to go, and maybe he deserves the axe for that but for as long as I can remember when I see the Broncos I see Shanahan. What are your thoughts?

Very surprised by this move because I thought he was really good friends with the owner. Be very interesting to see who gets this job. I bet a lot of the coaches out there would much rather have the Bronco job then Detroit or Cleveland.

I agree, though apparently the Cleveland Browns are already talking to the Jets recently coach, Mangini.

Thats football for you. I guess no matter how good of a coach you are you will get fired if your team is bad. There are so many coaches who got fired this year and some didnt deserve to get fired. Like eric manjini of the jets. Who had the best record for a long time this year and he didnt deserve to get fired nor did mike shanahan which I heard was as good as bill belicheck so he dosnt deseve to get fired either. I would hate to be a coach in the nfl.
